Man, what a day! I woke up in Stefan-Voda, and lemme tell ya, this place is a trip. I mean, it’s a small town, but it’s got its own vibe, ya know? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Strada 31 August for some coffee. Gotta fuel up, right? I walk into this little café, and the barista, bless her heart, spills a whole latte on my shoes. Like, c’mon! I just got these kicks! I was ready to blow up, but then she gave me a free pastry. So, I guess that’s a win? I mean, who can stay mad when there’s a croissant involved? After that, I strolled down to the park by the river. The Dniester River, to be exact. It’s beautiful, man. I sat on a bench, strumming my guitar, just vibing. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to me. He’s like, “Play ‘Despacito’!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m not a jukebox!” But I played it anyway. The kid starts dancing, and suddenly, I’m the coolest dude in Stefan-Voda. Crazy how fast that can change, right? But then, BAM! My phone buzzes. It’s my bandmate, Alex. He’s stuck in traffic on Strada Mihai Eminescu. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a small town! How are you stuck?” Turns out, there was a parade or something. I mean, who has a parade on a Tuesday? Only in Stefan-Voda, I swear. So, I’m waiting, and waiting, and I start to get annoyed. I could’ve been jamming with the kid! Finally, Alex shows up, and he’s all flustered. We decide to hit up the local music shop on Strada Tineretului. I’m looking for some new strings, and Alex is just browsing. He picks up this ridiculous ukulele. I’m like, “Bro, you’re not serious.” But he strums it, and it sounds kinda dope. So, we end up jamming in the shop, and the owner, this old dude, starts dancing. I’m talking full-on grandma moves. It was hilarious! After that, we head to the riverbank again. The sun’s setting, and it’s gorgeous. I’m feeling all the feels, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, this group of tourists shows up. They’re loud, taking selfies, and I’m just trying to vibe. One of them trips and falls right in front of us. I can’t help but laugh. Like, c’mon, dude! Watch where you’re going! As the night rolls in, we decide to grab some food. We hit up this little joint on Strada Vasile Alecsandri. The food is bomb, but the service? Not so much. We wait forever. I’m getting hangry, and Alex is trying to keep me calm. I’m like, “Dude, I’m about to start a revolution over here!” Finally, our food arrives, and it’s worth the wait. I mean, who knew Stefan-Voda had such good mămăligă? By the end of the night, I’m exhausted but happy. We head back to the park, and I pull out my guitar one last time. I start playing a song I wrote about today. It’s messy, it’s raw, but it’s real. I look around, and there’s a small crowd forming. People are smiling, and I’m like, “Wow, this is what it’s all about.” So yeah, Stefan-Voda, you wild little town. You made me laugh, you made me mad, but most importantly, you made me feel alive. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
