Man, what a day! I swear, Straseni (md) really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up late, as usual. Alarm? Nah, who needs that? So, I’m rushin’ outta my place on Strada Mihai Eminescu, tryna make it to the shop. You know, the one near the park? Yeah, that one. So, I hop on my bike, right? And of course, it’s raining. Like, seriously? It’s not even a drizzle; it’s a full-on downpour. I’m soaked before I even hit Strada 31 August. I’m pedaling like a madman, dodging puddles and thinking, “Great start, genius.” Finally get to the shop, and guess what? My buddy, Ion, is already there. He’s got this huge grin on his face. I’m like, “Dude, what’s with the smile?” Turns out, he found this old machine in the back. It’s rusty, but it’s got potential. I’m thinkin’, “This could be a goldmine!” But then, bam! The power goes out. Just like that. I’m standing there, covered in rain, and now I can’t even work. I’m fuming. I mean, c’mon! Straseni, get it together! So, we decide to take a break. Head over to that little café on Strada Calea Orheiului. You know the one? The one with the best coffee in town. I order a cappuccino, and it’s like heaven in a cup. I’m feelin’ a bit better, but then I see this guy at the next table. He’s got a laptop, and he’s just typing away. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a power outage! What’s your secret?” Anyway, after a while, the power comes back. We rush back to the shop, and I’m pumped. We start working on that old machine, and it’s like magic. I’m covered in grease, but I don’t care. We’re laughing, joking, and I’m thinkin’, “This is what it’s all about.” Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my sister. She’s in a panic. “I lost my keys!” she texts. I’m like, “Seriously? You’re in Straseni, not a maze!” I tell her to check the usual spots. You know, under the couch, in the fridge—classic. So, I’m juggling work and family drama. But hey, that’s life, right? Just when I think it can’t get crazier, we hear this loud crash outside. We run out, and there’s a car accident on Strada Tineretului. No one’s hurt, thank goodness, but traffic is a mess. I’m standing there, shaking my head, thinking, “Straseni, you’re wild today!” Finally, we wrap up at the shop. I’m exhausted but happy. I ride home, and the sun’s setting over the hills. It’s beautiful, man. I can see the silhouette of the old church on Strada Vasile Alecsandri. Makes me appreciate the chaos of the day. So, yeah, that was my day in Straseni. Full of ups and downs, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a machinist, right?
