Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a guide in Ungheni (md) is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, I’m at the Central Park. It’s a nice spot, ya know? Trees, benches, and that fountain that’s always spitting water like it’s mad at the world. I’m just chillin’, waiting for my group. And then, boom! This kid runs by, trips, and splashes water all over me. I’m soaked! Like, seriously? I’m here to guide, not to be a human water balloon. But hey, I laugh it off. Kids, right? So, we start our tour. We hit up Strada 31 August. It’s a busy street, full of life. I’m talking shops, cafes, and people hustlin’. I’m tryin’ to explain the history of the place, but this dude in the back keeps asking about the best place to get a kebab. Like, bro, focus! But I get it. Kebab cravings are real. Then we stroll down to the old railway station. It’s kinda cool, but also a bit creepy. I mean, it’s like a scene from a horror movie. I half expect a ghost to pop out and say, “Welcome to Ungheni!” But instead, we just get a bunch of pigeons. Ugh, those birds are everywhere! I swear they’re plotting something. Next, we hit the local market. OMG, the chaos! It’s like a scene from a reality show. People yelling, bargaining, and I’m just there, trying to keep my group together. I’m like a cat herding kittens. And then, I spot this old lady selling homemade jams. I can’t resist. I buy a jar of cherry jam. Best decision ever! Sweet, tangy, and totally worth the chaos. But then, I get a call. My buddy’s stuck in traffic on Strada Mihai Eminescu. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a straight shot!” But nah, he’s caught in a jam. Classic Ungheni traffic. I mean, it’s not like we have rush hour, but when we do, it’s like a scene from a zombie apocalypse. Cars everywhere, people honking like it’s a concert. After that, we head to the river Prut. It’s beautiful, honestly. The sun setting, the water glistening. I’m trying to be all poetic, but then this group of teenagers shows up, blasting music. I’m like, “Really? Can’t a guy enjoy nature in peace?” But then I see them dancing, and I can’t help but laugh. They’re having the time of their lives. As the day winds down, I’m exhausted. I mean, I’ve been running around like a headless chicken. But then, I see a family having a picnic by the river. They invite me over, and I can’t say no. They’ve got homemade food, and I’m all about that free food life. We chat, laugh, and I forget all the craziness of the day. Finally, I head home. I’m beat, but my heart’s full. Ungheni, man. It’s wild, it’s chaotic, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even with the splashes, the traffic jams, and the crazy kids. It’s all part of the ride. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
