Man, what a day! I swear, Asten really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, boy was I wrong. First stop, the market on de Heuvel. I’m there, ready to check out some fresh produce for my merch. But guess what? The vendor’s outta strawberries! Like, seriously? Who runs outta strawberries in summer? I’m standing there, fuming. I mean, c’mon, it’s Asten! You gotta have strawberries! Then, I bump into this dude, Jan, from the local café. He’s all like, “Hey, you gotta try my new coffee blend!” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, I grab a cup from him at de Markt. OMG, it was like liquid gold! I’m talking about a caffeine high that could launch a rocket. I’m buzzing, feeling like I can conquer the world. But then, I head down to de Molenstraat. I’m walking, minding my own biz, when I trip over a cobblestone. Like, who even thought cobblestones were a good idea? I’m sprawled out, looking like a total fool. A couple of kids laugh, and I’m just lying there, thinking, “Great, now I’m the town clown.” After that, I decide to hit up the local shops. Asten’s got some cool little boutiques, right? I pop into this one on de Kerkstraat. The owner, she’s super nice, but her prices? Yikes! I mean, I love a good sweater, but I’m not made of money! I’m trying to haggle, but she’s not budging. I’m like, “C’mon, it’s Asten! We’re all friends here!” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I’m talking about a full-on Dutch downpour. I dash for cover, but I’m already soaked. I’m standing under this awning, looking like a drowned rat, when I see a bunch of people running by, laughing. I’m like, “What’s so funny?” But then I realize, I’m the only one without an umbrella. Classic me, right? Finally, I decide to call it a day. I’m walking back to my car, and I see this cute little park, the Asten Park. I sit down on a bench, just trying to catch my breath. I’m thinking about how crazy today was. I mean, one minute I’m all hyped up on coffee, and the next I’m a wet mess. But then, I see this little kid feeding ducks. And I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” It’s those little moments that make you smile, ya know? I start laughing at myself, thinking about how ridiculous my day was. So, yeah, Asten, you got me today. You threw everything at me—strawberry drama, cobblestone trips, overpriced sweaters, and a surprise rain shower. But you know what? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s all part of the adventure, right? I hop in my car, still dripping wet, and I’m just grateful. Grateful for the chaos, the laughs, and the memories. Asten, you’re wild, but I love ya for it. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
