Man, what a day in Bavel! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness. So, I woke up late, like, super late. My alarm? Yeah, it totally betrayed me. I jumped outta bed, threw on some clothes, and bolted out the door. First stop? The bakery on de Korenstraat. You know, the one with the best broodjes? I needed my fix. I get there, and the line is, like, a mile long. Ugh! I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking about how I need that coffee. Finally, I grab a kaasbroodje and a cappuccino. Best decision ever! I mean, who doesn’t love cheese in the morning, right? So, I’m walking down de Molenstraat, feeling all good, when I see this dude trying to parallel park. And I’m like, “Bro, you’re gonna hit that car!” Spoiler alert: he did. The sound of metal crunching? Yeah, that was my heart breaking for him. I couldn’t help but laugh, though. Like, come on, how do you mess that up? Then, I decided to stroll by the park on de Heuvel. It’s such a chill spot. Kids were playing, dogs were running around, and I was just vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this kid starts crying. I mean, full-on meltdown. Turns out, he lost his ice cream. I felt for the little dude. Ice cream is life! So, I bought him a new one. Yeah, I’m a softie like that. After that, I hit up the local thrift shop on de Kerkstraat. You never know what gems you’ll find there. I found this ridiculous sweater. It’s bright orange with a giant cat on it. I HAD to get it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to rock a cat sweater? But then, the day took a turn. I was walking back home, feeling all cute in my new sweater, when I saw a protest happening on de Schoolstraat. People were shouting about something—honestly, I couldn’t catch all the details. But it was intense! I got caught up in the energy. I mean, who doesn’t love a good protest? Suddenly, someone handed me a sign. I was like, “Wait, what?!” But I just went with it. I started chanting, “Bavel for change!” or something like that. I have no idea what I was protesting for, but it felt good to be part of something. Then, outta nowhere, it started to rain. Like, heavy rain. I was soaked in seconds. Everyone was scrambling for cover. I was laughing so hard, I could barely breathe. I mean, come on! A protest in the rain? Classic Bavel moment. Finally, I made it home, dripping wet and exhausted. I flopped on my couch, still in my cat sweater, and just thought about the day. It was wild, emotional, and totally unexpected. Bavel, you never cease to amaze me! So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
