Man, what a day! I swear, being a car instructor in Bladel is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I roll outta bed, grab my coffee (needed that caffeine fix, ya know?), and head to the car school on de Kloosterstraat. It’s a chill street, but today? Nah, not so much. First student, let’s call him Timmy. Poor kid. He hops in the car, all nervous and jittery. I mean, who wouldn’t be? But then he starts driving like he’s in a video game. We’re cruising down de Molenstraat, and he slams on the brakes. I’m like, “Dude, chill! We’re not in a horror movie!” He nearly gave me a heart attack. Then, we hit the roundabout at de Veldstraat. Timmy’s like, “What do I do?” I’m screaming, “Just go! It’s not rocket science!” He finally goes, but he forgets to signal. Classic rookie move. I’m just sitting there, facepalming. Bladel’s got enough roundabouts to make anyone dizzy, and he’s making it worse! After that, I needed a breather. So, I took a stroll down the Markt. It’s this cute little square, full of shops and cafes. I grabbed a stroopwafel from a vendor. Man, that thing was heavenly! Sweet, gooey goodness. I was on cloud nine for a hot minute. But then, I saw a pigeon eyeing my snack. Like, back off, bird! I’m not sharing my sugar fix with you! Next up was Sarah. She was a bit more chill, but then she starts talking about her driving test. “I’m gonna fail, I just know it!” I’m like, “Girl, you got this!” But inside, I’m thinking, “Please don’t crash my car.” We hit the road again, this time on de Heuvel. It’s a nice stretch, but she gets distracted by the windmills. I mean, they’re cool and all, but focus, Sarah! Then, outta nowhere, a dog runs into the street. I’m yelling, “Watch out!” Sarah swerves, and I’m gripping the seat like it’s a rollercoaster. We barely miss the pup. I’m sweating bullets. “You good?” I ask. She’s pale as a ghost. “Yeah, just a little freaked.” I can’t blame her. Bladel’s got its share of surprises, but that was a bit much! After that, I needed a snack break. So, I hit up this little café on de Kerkstraat. Best fries in town, no joke. I’m munching away, thinking about how crazy the day’s been. Just then, I overhear some locals chatting about the annual Bladel fair. I’m like, “Man, I gotta check that out!” Back to the grind. Next student was Mark. He’s a total speed demon. We’re zooming down de Laan, and I’m like, “Slow down, buddy! This ain’t a race!” He laughs, but I’m serious. Bladel’s got its charm, but it’s not worth a speeding ticket. Then, we hit a traffic jam. Ugh! I’m stuck in the car, and it’s like, “Come on, people!” I’m losing my mind. Finally, we crawl past the old church. It’s beautiful, but I’m too annoyed to appreciate it. Finally, the day wraps up. I’m exhausted but happy. Bladel’s got its quirks, but I love it. The streets, the people, the surprises. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a car instructor, right?
