Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in my tiny apartment in Goes, right? You know, that cute little town in Zeeland, with all the canals and those old buildings that look like they’re straight outta a fairy tale. I’m a Russian Sign Language translator, but today? Today was a whole different ball game. First off, I’m running late. Like, super late. I grab my coffee from that little café on Lange Dijk. You know the one? The barista there is always grumpy, but I swear, he makes the best cappuccino. I’m chugging it down like it’s water, trying not to spill on my shirt. Classic me, right? So, I’m rushing to my first appointment at the school on Korte Kerkstraat. I’m thinking, “Great, kids and their energy. Just what I need.” But when I get there, the place is buzzing! Turns out, they’re having a surprise party for a teacher. I’m like, “What? I didn’t sign up for this!” But hey, I’m a pro, so I roll with it. The kids are wild! They’re running around, balloons everywhere, and I’m trying to sign to this teacher who’s totally clueless. I’m laughing, but inside I’m like, “This is chaos!” I mean, who throws a surprise party on a Tuesday? After that, I head over to the market on the Markt. It’s packed! I love the vibe there, but today? Ugh. I’m trying to get some fresh herring, and this lady cuts in front of me. I’m like, “Excuse me?!” But she just gives me this look like I’m the problem. I mean, come on! It’s herring, not gold! Finally, I get my fish and head to the park. It’s so pretty there, with the trees and the little pond. I sit down, take a breath, and just enjoy the moment. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks my lunch right outta my hands! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m covered in mayo and bread. It’s a disaster! But then, I see this old couple sitting on a bench, holding hands and laughing. And I’m like, “Aww, that’s cute.” It kinda makes me forget about my lunch. Love is in the air, right? Later, I have a meeting at the library on Singelstraat. I’m thinking, “Okay, this should be chill.” But nope! The Wi-Fi is down. I’m trying to connect with my clients, and it’s just not happening. I’m getting frustrated, and I can feel my patience wearing thin. By the time I leave, I’m exhausted. I walk back through the city, and it’s starting to get dark. The lights are coming on, and it’s kinda magical. I pass by the old church, and it’s all lit up. I stop for a sec, just to take it in. Then, I bump into my friend at the pub on Vlasmarkt. We grab a drink, and I’m venting about my day. He’s laughing, saying I should’ve just stayed in bed. I mean, he’s not wrong! So, yeah, that was my day in Goes. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? I’m just glad I survived it. Tomorrow’s a new day, and who knows what’ll happen next?
