Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Harderwijk really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, I’m at the Vischmarkt. It’s this cute lil’ fish market, and I’m all about that fresh seafood life. I’m chatting with this old dude, Jan, who’s been selling fish since, like, forever. He’s got stories, man. But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches a herring right outta my hand! I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Did that just happen?” Jan’s cracking up, and I’m just mad. Like, who knew seagulls were such thieves? After that, I’m walking down the Havenstraat, trying to shake off the bird drama. The harbor’s beautiful, boats bobbing, and I’m feeling good again. But then, I see this group of tourists. They’re lost, looking at their phones like they’re trying to decode hieroglyphics. I’m like, “C’mon, guys! Just look up!” So, I go over, and they’re trying to find the Dolfinarium. I’m like, “Dude, it’s just down the road!” But they’re all, “We thought it was a myth.” A myth? Really? It’s a whole aquarium with dolphins! So, I lead them there, and they’re all excited. I’m feeling like a hero, right? But then, I realize I forgot my wallet at home. Ugh! I’m like, “Great, now I can’t even get a snack.” But whatever, I’m not letting that ruin my vibe. Next, I head to the old town, and it’s just gorgeous. The architecture is insane! I’m strolling down the Langegracht, and I spot this cute café. I’m thinking, “Maybe I can just grab a coffee?” But then, I see the prices. I’m like, “What are they serving, liquid gold?” So, I just take a pic of the place instead. #BrokeGuideLife. Then, I bump into this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and honestly, he’s pretty good. I’m vibing, and then he starts playing “Despacito.” I’m like, “Dude, really? In Harderwijk?” But I can’t help but laugh. It’s so random! I toss him a couple of coins, and he gives me a wink. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m a big spender today!” After that, I decide to check out the beach. Harderwijk’s got this nice stretch by the water. I’m walking along the Boulevard, and it’s packed with people. Kids are playing, couples are strolling, and I’m just soaking it all in. But then, I see this kid, right? He’s building a sandcastle, and it’s epic. I’m talking towers, moats, the whole deal. But then, his little sister runs up and kicks it over! I’m like, “Nooooo!” The kid’s face is priceless. I can’t help but laugh, but I feel for him. As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, sad, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I sit on a bench, just watching the sunset over the water. It’s beautiful, man. I think about how crazy today was. Harderwijk, you wild! Finally, I head back home, exhausted but happy. I’m thinking, “What a day!” I can’t wait to tell my friends about the seagull, the tourists, and the sandcastle disaster. Harderwijk, you’ve got my heart, even if you made me lose my wallet!
