Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a potter, right? Just chillin’ in Helden, this cute lil’ town in the Netherlands. You know, the kinda place where everyone knows everyone, and the streets are like a maze of charm. So, I wake up, and it’s already raining. Typical Helden, am I right? I mean, it’s like the weather’s got a personal vendetta against me. I grab my coffee from that tiny café on Kerkstraat. Best coffee ever, but the barista? Ugh, she’s got this attitude like she’s the queen of the world. Whatever, I just need my caffeine fix. I head to my workshop on Molenstraat. It’s a cozy spot, filled with clay and dreams. I’m all set to throw some pots, but then BAM! My wheel decides to act up. Like, really? Today of all days? I’m sweating, cursing, and probably scaring the pigeons outside. Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Jan pops in. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what I saw on Raadhuisstraat!” I’m like, “What? A UFO?” Nah, it’s just some guy trying to sell tulips outta his trunk. Classic Helden, right? So, I’m trying to focus on my pots, but Jan’s cracking me up. He’s doing this ridiculous impression of the tulip guy. I can’t even. I’m laughing so hard, I almost drop a pot. That would’ve been a disaster. After a while, I finally get into the groove. I’m shaping this beautiful vase, and it’s like magic. I’m feeling all zen, you know? But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my mom. She’s like, “You better come to the market on Marktstraat!” I’m thinking, “Why? What’s happening?” Turns out, she’s found this amazing deal on cheese. Only in Helden, right? So, I pack up and head to the market. It’s bustling, people everywhere. I love it! The smell of fresh bread, flowers, and, of course, cheese. I spot my mom, and she’s holding this massive wheel of Gouda. I’m like, “Mom, you’re gonna need a truck for that!” We’re walking around, and I see this street performer on Veldstraat. He’s juggling and singing, and honestly, he’s not half bad. I toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me this huge grin. It’s those little moments that make Helden special, ya know? But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over a stand of flowers. I’m like, “Oh no, not the flowers!” The vendor is fuming, and I’m just standing there, trying not to laugh. The kid’s face is priceless. After the market, I head back to my workshop. I’m feeling all inspired, ready to create. But then, I realize I forgot to buy clay. Seriously? I’m such a mess today. So, I grab my bike and pedal down to the nearest supply store on Laan van de Korenbloem. On the way, I pass by the old church. It’s beautiful, man. I always stop to admire it. But today, there’s a wedding happening! I’m like, “Wow, love is in the air!” I can’t help but smile. Finally, I get my clay and head back. I’m exhausted but happy. I sit down at my wheel, and it’s like everything clicks. I’m throwing pots like a pro. I’m in my zone, and it feels amazing. But then, I hear this loud crash outside. I jump up, thinking it’s the end of the world. Turns out, it’s just some kids playing soccer. I’m like, “Phew, false alarm!” But seriously, Helden, can we not? As the sun sets, I’m wrapping up for the day. I’m tired but fulfilled. I think about all the craziness, the laughter, the little moments. Helden, you’ve got my heart. Even with your weird weather and quirky characters, I wouldn’t trade you for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Helden. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
