Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a glazier in Kortenhoef is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was anything but. First job was on Kerklaan. Nice little house, real cozy vibe. I’m there, just me and my tools, ready to replace a cracked window. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! I’m up on the ladder, and outta nowhere, this freakin’ pigeon decides to take a dump on my head. Like, seriously? I’m just tryna do my job here! I’m standing there, covered in bird poop, and I can’t help but laugh. What a way to start the day, huh? After that, I’m off to the next gig on de Kortenhoefseweg. This place is a mansion, I swear. I’m thinkin’, “These folks must be loaded.” I knock on the door, and this posh lady answers. She’s all like, “Oh, darling, I need my windows sparkling!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m a glazier, not a magician.” But whatever, I get to work. While I’m there, I notice the view. Man, Kortenhoef is beautiful! The lakes, the trees, the whole vibe. I’m thinkin’ about how lucky I am to work in such a place. But then, I hear this loud crash. I rush outside, and some dude just smashed his car into a lamppost on de Kortenhoefseweg! I’m like, “Dude, what were you thinkin’?” He’s fine, just a bit shaken. But the car? Total wreck. I can’t help but chuckle. Next, I head over to the Kortenhoefse Plassen. I’m supposed to fix a window at this lakeside café. I get there, and the owner’s all stressed out. “We’ve got customers waiting!” he says. I’m like, “Chill, man, I got this.” But then, I realize I forgot my tools back at the mansion. Ugh! I’m sprinting back, cursing under my breath. Finally, I get back, tools in hand, and I’m fixin’ the window like a pro. Customers are watchin’, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, just as I’m about to finish, a kid runs by and knocks over a whole tray of drinks. Soda everywhere! I’m like, “Really? Can’t a guy catch a break?” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I head to the local pub on de Kortenhoefseweg. I need a drink, man. I sit down, and the bartender’s like, “You look like you’ve had a day.” I’m like, “You have no idea.” I order a beer, and as I sip it, I can’t help but smile. Kortenhoef, with all its quirks and craziness, is home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a glazier in Kortenhoef. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
