Man, what a day in Leesten! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local bakery on De Wetering. Best croissants ever! I grab one, and it’s still warm. I’m thinking, “This is gonna be a good day.” But then, BAM! I spill coffee all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m standing there, looking like a total mess. So, I rush back home on De Korteweg, trying to clean up. I’m cursing under my breath. Like, why can’t I just have one normal morning? Anyway, I finally get my act together and head out again. Next stop, the park by the Leesten Canal. I needed some fresh air, ya know? But guess what? There’s a bunch of kids playing soccer, and they’re all over the place. I’m dodging balls like I’m in some weird action movie. One kid kicks it right at me, and I’m like, “Dude, chill!” But they just laugh. Kids, man. Then, I decide to take a stroll down the beautiful Laan van de Vriendschap. It’s so pretty there, with all the trees and flowers. I’m feeling good again. But then, I see this old guy trying to fix his bike. He’s struggling, and I’m like, “I got this!” So, I help him out. Turns out, he’s a retired mechanic. He starts telling me all these wild stories about Leesten back in the day. I’m laughing, but also kinda amazed. After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I head to the market on De Brink. It’s buzzing! Fresh veggies, flowers, and all that good stuff. I grab some strawberries, and OMG, they’re so sweet! But then, I see this guy trying to haggle over a price. Like, dude, it’s a euro! Just pay and move on! So, I’m walking back home, and I pass by the old church on De Kerkstraat. It’s beautiful, but it’s also kinda creepy. I swear I heard a ghost or something. I’m not even joking! I’m like, “Nope, not today!” and I speed walk past it. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy inviting me out for drinks. I’m like, “Why not?” So, I hit up this cozy bar on De Molenweg. It’s packed, but the vibe is awesome. We’re laughing, sharing stories, and I’m just so happy. But then, outta nowhere, this guy spills his drink all over me. I’m like, “Seriously?!” But instead of getting mad, I just laugh it off. It’s been that kinda day, right? As the night goes on, I’m just grateful for all the wild moments. Leesten, with its quirky streets and cool people, always surprises me. I head home, thinking about how crazy life is. I mean, who knew a day could go from messy to magical? So yeah, that was my day in Leesten. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
