Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Mill, right? You know, that chill little town in the Netherlands. It’s got that small-town vibe, but today? Today was anything but chill. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I sprint down the Kerkstraat, dodging cyclists like I’m in some kind of video game. I swear, these Dutch folks are born on bikes. Anyway, I finally get to my shop, and guess what? The coffee machine’s broken. Ugh! I need my caffeine fix, or I’m basically a zombie. So, I’m grumpy, right? I’m setting up my dealer’s table on the Markt, and it’s drizzling. Just my luck! I’m trying to keep my stuff dry, and this old dude, like, totally bumps into me. I’m like, “Dude, watch it!” He just grins and says, “It’s just a little rain.” I mean, come on! It’s not just rain; it’s a monsoon! Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, slips on the wet pavement, and lands right in front of me. I’m talking full-on cartoon style. I can’t help but laugh. The kid gets up, all muddy, and starts laughing too. That’s when I realize, hey, maybe today won’t be so bad after all. So, I’m setting up my stuff, and I see my buddy, Jan, coming down the Molenstraat. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s up, man?” Turns out, he just scored some rare vinyls at that little shop on the corner. I’m like, “Dude, you gotta hook me up!” We’re chatting, and I’m feeling good again. But then, bam! A storm rolls in. I’m talking thunder, lightning, the whole shebang. I’m scrambling to cover my stuff, and I’m cursing like a sailor. I mean, why can’t the weather just chill for once? I’m soaked, my table’s a mess, and I’m about to lose it. But wait! Just when I think it can’t get worse, I see this couple arguing on the other side of the Markt. They’re yelling, and I’m like, “Get a room, people!” But then, the guy pulls out a ring. No joke! He’s proposing right there in the rain. I’m standing there, mouth agape, like, “Is this real life?” She says yes, and suddenly, everyone’s cheering. It’s like a rom-com moment in the middle of my chaotic day. After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I mean, love in the rain? That’s some movie magic right there. So, I decide to treat myself. I head over to that little café on the Hoofdstraat. You know the one? They’ve got the best stroopwafels. I grab one, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, as I’m munching, I see this guy trying to sell flowers. He’s got this sad look, and I’m like, “Dude, it’s pouring! Who’s buying flowers in this weather?” But then, I see a lady run up, drenched, and she buys a bouquet. I’m like, “Wow, people are wild.” Finally, I pack up my stuff, and I’m heading home. I walk past the old windmill, and I can’t help but smile. Mill’s got its quirks, you know? It’s a mix of chaos and charm. I think about how today was a rollercoaster. From grumpy to happy to surprised, all in a few hours. As I get home, I kick off my wet shoes and plop on the couch. I’m exhausted but happy. Mill, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
