Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I’m a banderillero, right? You know, the one who gets all up close and personal with the bulls. But today? Today was a whole different rodeo. I woke up in Rijswijk, which is this chill little town in the Netherlands. It’s got that cozy vibe, you know? Streets like de Wetering and de Herenstraat are just perfect for a morning stroll. But I was too hyped to chill. I had a bullfight to prep for! First off, I hit up the local café on de Herenstraat. Grabbed a coffee that was way too strong. Like, I could feel my heart racing just looking at it. I’m like, “Dude, chill with the caffeine!” But hey, I needed the energy. So, I’m walking down the street, and outta nowhere, I see this massive crowd gathering. I’m thinking, “What’s going on?” Turns out, there’s a street performer doing some wild tricks. This guy was juggling flaming torches! I mean, come on! I’m about to face a bull, and this dude’s playing with fire. I was both impressed and a bit jealous. Then, I get to the arena, and it’s packed. People everywhere! I’m talking families, kids, old folks, you name it. The energy was electric. But then, I see my rival, Carlos. Ugh, that guy. He’s always trying to one-up me. He’s strutting around like he owns the place. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a bull.” The fight starts, and let me tell you, it was intense. The bull charged at me like it had a personal vendetta. I dodged, I weaved, I did my thing. But then, I tripped on a loose cobblestone on de Wetering. Seriously? A cobblestone? I fell flat on my face! The crowd gasped, and I could feel my face turning redder than a tomato. But I got up, brushed it off, and went back at it. I mean, I’m not gonna let a little fall ruin my day, right? So, I got my banderillas ready, and I nailed it! The crowd went wild! I was on cloud nine. After the fight, I was feeling like a champ. But then, I overheard some folks talking about the new ice cream shop on de Wetering. I had to check it out. I mean, who doesn’t love ice cream after a bullfight? So, I stroll over, and the line is insane! I’m talking a solid 20 people deep. But I’m patient. I wait, and when I finally get to the front, I order the craziest flavor—stroopwafel with a hint of chili. Yeah, I know, sounds wild, but trust me, it’s a game changer. As I’m enjoying my ice cream, I see Carlos again. He’s looking all smug, and I’m like, “Dude, I just took down a bull. What have you done?” But whatever, I’m not letting him ruin my vibe. Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I just got my ice cream! But the rain didn’t stop the fun. Everyone started dancing in the streets. I joined in, ice cream in hand, just living my best life. By the end of the day, I was exhausted but happy. Rijswijk had thrown me a curveball, but I rolled with it. I mean, who knew a day of bullfighting could end with me dancing in the rain, ice cream dripping down my hand? So yeah, that was my day. Rijswijk, you crazy little town, you never cease to amaze me!
