Man, what a day! Seriously, Rotterdam is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. So, I’m rollin’ outta bed, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, all that jazz. I grab my coffee from that little spot on Witte de Withstraat. Best cappuccino ever! But then, boom! My bike’s gone. Like, poof! Just vanished. I’m standing there like a total idiot. I sprint down the street, heart racing. I mean, who steals a bike in broad daylight? I’m fuming. I hit up the police station on the corner of Coolsingel. The officer’s like, “Yeah, we get a lot of those.” Thanks, buddy. Real helpful. After that, I needed a breather. So, I head to the Markthal. You know, that giant, colorful building? It’s like a food paradise. I’m wandering around, trying to forget my bike drama. I grab some stroopwafels. OMG, they’re heavenly! Sweet, gooey goodness. I’m in heaven. But then, I see this street performer. He’s juggling flaming torches. I’m like, “Dude, chill!” But he’s all about the drama. He drops one, and WHOOSH! Fire everywhere! People are screaming, and I’m just standing there, popcorn in hand, like it’s a movie. After the chaos, I decide to hit the Erasmus Bridge. You know, the one that looks like a giant swan? I’m walking, feeling all philosophical. “Life’s a journey,” I think. Then I trip over my own feet. Classic me. I finally get to the other side, and the view is insane. The skyline is lit! I snap a pic for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? But then, my phone dies. Ugh! I’m like, “Really, universe?” So, I’m wandering around, trying to find a charger. I end up in a little café on Oude Haven. The vibe is chill, and the people are super friendly. I order a bitterballen. They’re like little balls of joy! I’m munching away, feeling better. But then, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m just trying to enjoy my snack, and they’re throwing insults like it’s a sport. I’m thinking, “Get a room, people!” Finally, I decide to head back home. I’m walking down the streets, and it hits me. Rotterdam is a mix of chaos and beauty. One minute you’re mad, the next you’re laughing. It’s like a rollercoaster. I get to my place, and guess what? My neighbor’s blasting techno music. It’s like a rave in my hallway. I can’t even. I just laugh. What else can you do? So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, just like Rotterdam itself. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
