OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in my tiny apartment on the Verwerstraat, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be lit!” Spoiler alert: it was not. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I spill coffee all over my fave shirt. Ugh! It’s a cute little number from that vintage shop on the Hinthamerstraat. I’m like, “Great, just great.” So, I throw on a jacket and dash out the door. I hop on my bike, zooming past the St. Jan’s Cathedral. That place is stunning, but I barely notice. I’m in full-on panic mode. I gotta get to my first appointment at this trendy salon near the Parade. The streets are packed, and I’m weaving through tourists. Like, chill, people! This ain’t a museum! Finally, I get to the salon, and guess what? My client is late. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, trying to look cool. But inside? I’m fuming. I mean, c’mon! I could’ve had a croissant at that cute café on the Markt. But nooo, I’m stuck here, looking like a hot mess. When she finally shows up, she’s all, “Sorry, I got lost.” Lost? In s-Hertogenbosch? It’s not that big! I mean, I love this city, but c’mon! Anyway, we get to work, and she wants a total makeover. I’m talking drastic. I’m like, “Girl, are you sure?” But she’s vibing, so I go for it. As I’m chopping away, I’m thinking about how s-Hertogenbosch is such a gem. The canals, the old buildings, the vibe. It’s got this chill yet artsy feel. I mean, I could spend hours just wandering around the Binnendieze. But today? Nope. Just hair and drama. After the makeover, she looks fab! Like, wow! I’m feeling all proud and stuff. But then, she drops the bomb. “I’m moving to Amsterdam next week.” WHAT?! I’m like, “Girl, you can’t leave me!” But she’s gotta chase her dreams, and I get it. Still, I’m low-key heartbroken. Next, I rush to meet my buddy at the Bossche Broek. We’re supposed to grab some snacks. But guess what? It starts pouring. I mean, seriously? I’m drenched, looking like a drowned rat. I’m laughing, though, because it’s just so typical. We finally find shelter at this cozy bar on the Korte Putstraat. I order a beer, and we’re just chilling, talking about life. I love this city, but sometimes it drives me nuts. Like, why are the trams always late? And don’t get me started on parking. After a few laughs and a couple of drinks, I’m feeling better. We decide to hit up a local art exhibit at the Noordbrabants Museum. I’m all about supporting local artists, you know? But when we get there, it’s closed for renovations. Ugh! Just my luck! So, we wander around the city instead. I show him the old city walls and the beautiful parks. I’m like, “This is why I love s-Hertogenbosch!” But then, I trip over a cobblestone and almost faceplant. Classic me, right? By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I bike home, reflecting on the craziness. s-Hertogenbosch, you’re a wild ride. Full of surprises, ups and downs. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Emotional rollercoaster, for sure. But hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
