Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a dental tech, right? And today was just... wow. Schijndel, you’ve outdone yourself. I woke up late, of course. Alarm didn’t go off. Classic me. Rushed outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I mean, who needs matching socks anyway? Not me! So, I’m zooming down the Hoofdstraat, dodging cyclists like I’m in some kinda video game. Schijndel’s got a ton of ’em, and they don’t care if you’re in a car or not. First stop, the lab. I’m all set to make some crowns, right? But then, surprise! My boss, Jan, is in a mood. He’s pacing around like a lion in a cage. Turns out, he forgot to order supplies. Ugh! I’m like, “Dude, we can’t make teeth without materials!” He just shrugs. Classic Jan. So, I’m stuck there, twiddling my thumbs. I decide to take a walk. I hit up the Markt, you know, the square where everyone hangs out. It’s buzzing! Kids are playing, old folks are gossiping, and I’m just trying to find some peace. Grabbed a coffee from that little café, De Koffieboon. Best coffee in Schijndel, no cap. But then, bam! I spill it all over my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking coffee stain. I’m standing there, trying to clean it up with napkins, and this old lady, Mrs. van Dijk, walks by. She just laughs and says, “You look like you’ve been in a fight with a coffee pot!” I can’t help but chuckle. She’s right. After that, I head back to the lab. Finally, we get the supplies. I’m in the zone, making these crowns, and then my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Tom. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the festival at the Kerkstraat tonight!” I’m like, “What festival?” Apparently, it’s some local thing with food trucks and live music. I’m in! But then, just as I’m about to leave, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about their dentures. I mean, come on! Can’t a guy catch a break? I’m like, “Chill, I’ll fix it!” But inside, I’m like, “Why me?” Finally, I wrap up at the lab. I’m exhausted but pumped for the festival. I race over to Kerkstraat, and wow, it’s packed! Food trucks everywhere! I grab some fries from Frietboetiek. Best fries in Schijndel, hands down. I’m munching away, feeling good. Then, I hear this band playing. They’re awesome! I’m dancing like nobody’s watching. I mean, who cares? It’s Schijndel! Everyone’s just vibing. I spot some friends, and we’re all laughing, sharing stories. It’s the kinda night that makes you forget all the stress. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, really? I’m soaked! But we just keep dancing. I mean, what else can you do? We’re all laughing, slipping around like a bunch of goofballs. By the end of the night, I’m drenched but happy. Schijndel, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. I head home, thinking about how wild today was. From coffee spills to dancing in the rain, it’s all part of the ride. So yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, emotional rollercoaster in Schijndel. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
