Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a euro for every twist today, I’d be rich. So, I’m a broker, right? And today was just... wow. Started off on the wrong foot. I woke up late. Like, really late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I bolted outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I think I was wearing mismatched socks. Classic me. Rushed outta my apartment on the Generaal Foulkesweg. You know, the one with the weird graffiti? Yeah, that one. I sprinted to my bike, which, of course, had a flat tire. Great. Just great. So, I had to hoof it to the office on the Lawickse Allee. I mean, who needs cardio, right? Got to the office, and my boss was already on my case. “Where have you been?” he barked. I mean, chill dude, it’s not like I’m late every day. Just most days. Anyway, I finally settled in, and boom! My phone starts blowing up. First call? A client freaking out about a deal. Like, dude, calm down! It’s just money! But nah, he was all over the place. I had to remind him we’re in Wageningen, not Wall Street. This is a chill town, man! Then, I had to meet a new client at the café on the Markt. It’s this cute little spot, right? But I got there, and guess what? They were outta coffee. Outta coffee! In a café! I mean, what’s next? No bread at the bakery? So, I ordered tea instead. Tea! I felt like an old lady. While I was waiting, I spotted this guy on the street. He was juggling. Like, seriously? In the middle of the Markt? I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, who juggles in Wageningen? But hey, it was entertaining. Finally, my client shows up. He’s all nervous, sweating bullets. I’m like, “Dude, relax! We’re just talking about some property on the Dijkgraaf.” But he’s acting like we’re negotiating a peace treaty or something. I had to crack a joke about how the only thing we’re fighting over is the best spot for a garden. After that, I had to run to a meeting on the other side of town. I took the shortcut through the Arboretum. Man, that place is beautiful! Trees everywhere, flowers blooming. I almost forgot I was stressed. Almost. But then, I hit a snag. My car wouldn’t start. Like, seriously? I’m in the middle of Wageningen, and my car decides to play dead. I had to call a tow truck. While I waited, I just sat there, staring at the beautiful sunset over the Rijn. It was kinda peaceful, but I was still fuming inside. Finally, the tow truck arrives. The guy was super chill, though. He starts telling me about the best places to eat in Wageningen. I’m like, “Dude, I’m not here for a food tour!” But I ended up getting some good tips. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. I flopped on my couch, thinking about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. I mean, who knew being a broker in Wageningen could be so wild? But hey, tomorrow’s a new day. Maybe I’ll finally get that coffee. Or maybe I’ll just stick to tea. Who knows? Life’s too short to stress, right?
