Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Zelhem. Like, who knew this little town could pack such a punch? I mean, it’s not exactly Amsterdam, but it’s got its own vibe, ya know? So, I woke up, ready to tackle the day as an anticorrosion agent. Sounds fancy, right? But really, it’s just me making sure metal doesn’t rust away. Anyway, I hit the streets of Zelhem, and first stop was the market on the Markt. I love that place! Fresh veggies, local cheese, and the best stroopwafels. I swear, if you haven’t had one, you’re missing out. But then, bam! I bump into this dude, right? He’s all like, “Hey, you’re that anticorrosion guy!” I’m thinking, “Wow, I’m famous in Zelhem!” But then he starts ranting about how his bike is rusting. Like, dude, I’m not a miracle worker! I can’t save your rusty bike. I mean, I can help, but c’mon! So, I’m trying to explain to him about prevention and all that jazz, but he’s not having it. He’s just mad. I get it, but chill, man! It’s just a bike! I mean, I’ve seen worse. Like, have you seen the state of some of the buildings on De Hoven? They look like they’ve been through a war. After that, I needed a breather. I strolled down the beautiful streets, like the Langestraat. It’s so picturesque, with those cute houses and all. I stopped by a café, grabbed a coffee, and just sat there, people-watching. You know, the usual. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, chasing a dog. The dog’s got a stick, and it’s all happy, wagging its tail. I’m like, “Man, that’s the life!” But then the kid trips, and I’m like, “Oh no!” But he just laughs it off. Kids are tough, man. I wish I could be that carefree. So, I finish my coffee and head to the industrial area. You know, where all the factories are? I had to check on some equipment. But guess what? The whole place is buzzing with activity. I mean, it’s like a beehive! I’m trying to focus, but there’s this loud machine making a racket. I’m thinking, “Can’t a guy work in peace?” And then, I get a call. It’s my boss. He’s like, “We need to talk about the new project.” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in Zelhem! Can’t this wait?” But no, he’s all serious. So, I’m trying to listen while dodging workers and machines. It’s chaos! Finally, I wrap up my day. I’m walking back, and I pass by the church on the Kerkstraat. It’s beautiful, man. I stop for a sec, just to take it in. The sun’s setting, and it’s all golden. Makes you feel all warm inside, ya know? But then, I hear this loud crash! I turn around, and it’s a delivery truck that just backed into a lamppost. I’m like, “Seriously? In Zelhem?” The driver jumps out, looking all panicked. I can’t help but laugh. Like, dude, how do you even manage that? So, I finally get home, exhausted but happy. Zelhem, you wild little town! You’ve got your quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, where else can you have a day like this? From rusty bikes to crashing trucks, it’s never a dull moment. And that’s my day, folks! Just another adventure in Zelhem. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
