Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Askim, right? You know, that chill little town near Oslo. I mean, it’s not the big city, but it’s got its own vibe. Anyway, I was all set to hit the streets, grab some coffee, and just chill. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the café on Storgata. Best coffee in town, no cap. I’m standing there, waiting for my latte, and this dude in front of me orders like, a million things. Like, bro, it’s a coffee shop, not a buffet! I’m losing my patience, right? Finally, I get my drink, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and boom! Happiness overload. So, I’m walking down to Askim Torget, feeling all good, when I see this street performer. He’s playing the guitar, and honestly, he’s pretty good. I’m vibing, you know? But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over his guitar case. Money goes flying everywhere! I’m like, “Dude, what the heck?” The performer looks so bummed. I mean, c’mon, it’s Askim, not a circus! I help him pick up the coins, and he’s super grateful. We chat for a bit, and he tells me he’s been playing here for years. I’m like, “Man, you gotta keep at it!” I mean, who doesn’t love a good street jam? Then, I decide to stroll down to the river. The Glomma River is just chillin’ there, looking all pretty. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, I see this guy trying to fish. He’s got like, a whole setup, but he’s not catching anything. I’m thinking, “Dude, maybe try a different spot?” But hey, I’m not a fishing expert. Suddenly, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, asking if I wanna hit up the park later. I’m like, “Sure, why not?” But then I remember I promised my mom I’d help her with some stuff. Ugh, adulting is hard! So, I rush back home, and on the way, I pass by the Askim Church. It’s this beautiful old building, and I always think about how many stories it must hold. But today, I’m just too rushed to appreciate it. I get home, help my mom, and then I’m off to the park. When I get there, my buddy’s already there, chillin’ with some snacks. We start talking about life, you know? And then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain! Like, seriously? I thought we were done with this weather! We run for cover under a tree, laughing like idiots. After the rain, the sky clears up, and it’s like, the most beautiful sunset ever. I’m talking pinks and oranges everywhere. We just sit there, munching on chips, soaking it all in. I’m like, “This is what life’s about, man.” But then, I get a text from my sister. She’s stuck in traffic on E18, and she’s freaking out. I’m like, “Chill, sis, it’s Askim, not New York!” But I get it, traffic can be a nightmare. Finally, the day winds down. I’m walking home, feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, frustrated, surprised. Just a rollercoaster, you know? I think about how Askim is this mix of chill vibes and unexpected chaos. It’s like, you never know what’s gonna happen next. So yeah, that was my day in Askim. Full of ups and downs, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
