Man, what a day! I woke up in Halden, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a Resnik, right? So, I’m all about that hustle. But today? Today was somethin’ else. I hit the streets of Halden, and it was like the universe decided to throw me a curveball. I strolled down Storgata, the main street, and it was packed. Like, seriously, who knew Halden could be this lively? I mean, I love a good crowd, but this was a bit much. I almost tripped over some kid’s skateboard. Ugh, kids these days! So, I’m dodging people, and then BAM! I see this cute little café, Kaffe Kopp. I’m like, “Okay, let’s grab a coffee.” I order my usual, a flat white, and the barista, this super chill dude, spills half of it. I’m like, “Dude, really?” But he just laughs it off. I mean, I get it, accidents happen, but c’mon! I’m not made of money! After that caffeine disaster, I decide to take a walk by the river. The Glomma River, it’s beautiful, right? I’m just chillin’, enjoying the view, when I see this old guy feeding ducks. And I’m like, “Aww, that’s sweet.” But then, outta nowhere, a seagull swoops down and snatches a piece of bread right outta his hand! I couldn’t help but laugh. The guy was so shocked, it was priceless! Then, I head over to Festningsgata. You know, the street with the fortress? I’ve lived in Halden long enough to know that place is haunted. I swear I felt a chill. I’m not superstitious, but I was like, “Nope, not today, ghost!” I took a selfie with the fortress, though. Gotta keep the ‘gram updated, right? But then, things took a turn. I’m walking back, and I see this commotion near the bus station. Turns out, some dude lost his wallet. He’s freaking out, yelling, “I had my life in there!” I felt bad for him, but also, I couldn’t help but think, “Dude, get a better wallet!” I mean, who carries their whole life in a wallet? Anyway, I helped him look for it. We searched everywhere, even under benches. No luck. Just when I thought it was over, I spotted it! It was wedged between two bricks. I felt like a hero! He was so grateful, he bought me a hot dog from that stand nearby. Best hot dog ever, by the way. So, I’m munching on this hot dog, feeling like a million bucks, when I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “Let’s hit up the pub later.” I’m down! I mean, who doesn’t love a good pint after a crazy day? As I’m walking to the pub, I pass by the old church on Torggata. It’s stunning, but it gives me the creeps at night. I always think I see shadows moving. I’m like, “Chill, it’s just the wind.” But still, I speed walk past it. Finally, I get to the pub, and it’s packed. My buddy’s already there, and he’s like, “You won’t believe the day I had!” I’m like, “Dude, you have no idea!” We swap stories, laughing about the craziness of Halden. By the end of the night, I’m exhausted but happy. Halden, man, it’s wild. One minute you’re sipping coffee, the next you’re saving wallets and eating hot dogs. I love this place, quirks and all. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
