Man, what a day! I woke up in Jessheim, and I swear, I thought it was just gonna be another boring Tuesday. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I’m a professional self-determination coach for students, right? So, I’m all about helping these kids figure out their lives. But today? Today was a rollercoaster. So, I’m chillin’ at my fave café on Storgata, sipping my coffee, when I get a call. It’s one of my students, Emma. She’s freaking out about her future. Like, girl, chill! But I get it. Jessheim can be overwhelming. I mean, it’s a small town, but it’s got this weird mix of chill vibes and high expectations. Anyway, I tell her to meet me at the park by Jessheim Stadion. I get there, and it’s a beautiful day. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinking, “This is gonna be good.” But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a drowned rat, and Emma shows up, all worried. I’m like, “Girl, we’re in Norway. It’s just a little rain!” But she’s not having it. We find a spot under a tree, and I try to calm her down. I’m like, “Look, Jessheim is cool. You got the Jessheim Shopping Center, all those shops, and the vibe is just... you know, chill.” But she’s still stressing about college applications. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s like, “Do I go to Oslo or stay here?” Then, outta nowhere, this random dog runs up to us. It’s a fluffy golden retriever, and I’m like, “Dude, this is the highlight of my day!” The dog starts licking my face, and I’m laughing so hard. Emma cracks a smile, and I’m thinking, “See? Life’s not so bad.” But then, I get a text. It’s from my boss. Apparently, I’m supposed to give a talk at the Jessheim Videregående Skole tomorrow. WHAT? I didn’t even prepare! I’m freaking out. I mean, I can wing it, but still! I’m like, “Why didn’t anyone tell me?” So, I’m trying to focus on Emma, but my mind’s racing. I’m like, “Okay, Jessheim, you gotta help me out here.” I start talking about the cool stuff in town. Like, have you been to the Jessheim Church? It’s beautiful! And the old buildings on Torget? So much history! But all I can think about is my talk. Finally, Emma calms down. She’s like, “Thanks for being here.” And I’m like, “Of course! That’s what I do!” But inside, I’m still panicking. I mean, what if I bomb the talk? What if I forget everything? After our chat, I decide to take a walk. I stroll down to the Jessheim train station. It’s kinda busy, and I’m just people-watching. I see this kid with a skateboard, and I’m like, “Man, I wish I could still do that.” But then I remember I’m not 16 anymore. I grab a hot dog from a stand nearby. Best decision ever! I’m munching away, feeling a bit better. But then, I see a group of students from the high school. They’re laughing and having a good time, and I’m like, “Ugh, why can’t I be that carefree?” As I’m walking back, I pass by the Jessheim Sports Center. I see a bunch of kids playing soccer, and I’m like, “Man, I miss those days.” But then I remember how much I hated running. So, scratch that. Finally, I head home, exhausted but kinda happy. Jessheim is a wild mix of chaos and calm. It’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. So yeah, that was my intense day in Jessheim. Full of surprises, rain, and a random dog. Can’t wait to do it all over again!
