Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, surrounded by trees and the sweet smell of pine. But today? Today was a whole different beast. I found myself in Kragerø, Norway, and lemme tell ya, it was a wild ride. First off, Kragerø is this cute little coastal town. You got the fjords, the boats, and those colorful wooden houses that look like they popped outta a postcard. I mean, who doesn’t love a good view, right? But I wasn’t there for the views. Nah, I had some business to take care of. So, I roll into town, and I’m already feelin’ the vibe. The sun’s shining, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be a good day.” I park my truck on Storgata, which is like the main street, and it’s packed with people. Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they’re in a photo shoot. I’m just tryna get to the forestry office, but it’s like navigating a maze. I finally find the office on Strandgata. But guess what? It’s closed! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I mean, who closes up shop in the middle of the day? I’m fuming. I could’ve been out in the woods, chillin’ with my trees. Instead, I’m stuck in this bustling town. So, I decide to grab a coffee at this little café called Kaffe Kverna. I walk in, and it’s packed. I’m standing there, waiting, and this barista with a beanie and tattoos is taking her sweet time. I’m like, “C’mon, lady! I need my caffeine fix!” Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and boom! Instant happiness. After that, I stroll down to the harbor. The boats are bobbing up and down, and I see this guy trying to fish. He’s got this massive net, and I’m thinking, “Dude, you’re not gonna catch anything with that.” But hey, who am I to judge? I’m just a forester, not a fisherman. Then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude on a bike just wiped out on the cobblestones. I can’t help but laugh. I mean, it’s kinda funny, right? But then I see he’s hurt, and I’m like, “Oh man, that’s not cool.” I rush over to help him, and he’s all like, “I’m fine, I’m fine!” But he’s got this huge scrape on his knee. Classic. After that little drama, I decide to check out the local shops. I wander into this place called Kragerø Antikvariat. It’s filled with old books and knick-knacks. I’m browsing, and I find this ancient forestry book. I’m like, “Whoa, this is gold!” But then I see the price tag. My heart sinks. Ain’t nobody got that kinda cash. By now, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised—like a rollercoaster. I head back to Storgata, and I see this street performer playing the accordion. He’s got this wild energy, and people are gathered around, clapping. I join in, and for a moment, I forget about my day. Just me, the music, and the vibe of Kragerø. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. He’s like, “Where are you?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in Kragerø!” And he’s all, “Get back to work!” Ugh, the joys of being a forester. So, I wrap up my day, feeling a bit drained but also kinda fulfilled. Kragerø, you’ve been a trip. I’m heading back to the woods tomorrow, where the only drama is a squirrel stealing my lunch. Can’t wait!
