Man, what a day! I swear, Kristiansand really knows how to throw a curveball. Woke up this morning, sun shining, birds chirping. Thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, was I wrong! First off, I hit up Markens gate. It’s like the main street, ya know? Packed with shops and cafes. I’m strolling, coffee in hand, feeling all zen. Then BAM! I see this street performer. Dude’s juggling flaming torches. I’m like, “Bro, you’re gonna set yourself on fire!” But nah, he’s a pro. I’m clapping, laughing, and then—WHAM! A torch flies off and nearly hits me! I ducked like I was in a war zone. Heart racing, I’m thinking, “Is this how I go out? In Kristiansand, by a flaming torch?” After that, I needed a breather. So I headed to the beach at Bystranda. It’s beautiful there, man. Soft sand, clear water. I plopped down, just soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, a seagull swoops down and snatches my sandwich! Like, seriously? I’m just trying to enjoy my lunch, and this feathered thief decides I’m his buffet. I yelled, “Hey! That’s my food!” But he just looked at me like, “What you gonna do about it?” Rude! So, I’m fuming, right? I decide to walk it off. I wander over to the Fiskebrygga, the fish market. Smells like heaven and the sea. I’m eyeing some fresh shrimp when I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just standing there, like a therapist on a break. “You guys need to chill,” I think. But then, the guy storms off, and the girl starts crying. Ugh, my heart! I can’t just stand there. I go up and say, “Hey, you okay?” She looks at me like I’m a therapist or something. I’m like, “Nope, just a nosy bystander.” We ended up chatting for a bit. Turns out, she was just having a rough day. I gave her some advice, and she smiled. Made me feel good, ya know? Then, I hit up the Kristiansand Zoo. I mean, who doesn’t love animals? I’m walking around, and I see this lion. He’s just lounging, looking all majestic. I’m thinking, “Dude, I feel you. I wanna lounge too.” But then, he gets up and starts pacing. I’m like, “Chill, bro! You’re not in a hurry.” But then, he roars! I jumped back like I was in a horror movie. Everyone around me laughed. I was like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I’m just trying to enjoy my day!” As the sun started to set, I made my way to the top of Odderøya. The view is insane! You can see the whole city, the harbor, everything. I’m standing there, feeling all philosophical. “Life’s crazy, but look at this beauty,” I thought. But then, I realized I had to get back. I was late for a session. Classic me, always running behind. So, I sprinted down the hill, tripping over my own feet. I’m laughing at myself, thinking, “Only in Kristiansand would I trip while trying to be deep.” Finally made it to my office, panting like I just ran a marathon. And you know what? I love this city. It’s wild, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. Just like my day. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
