Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Nesttun, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a Community Manager, which means I’m basically the glue holding this place together. Nesttun is this cute little suburb of Bergen, Norway, and it’s got its quirks. Like, who knew the streets could be so confusing? I mean, I took a wrong turn on Høysandveien and ended up on some random street. I swear, I thought I was in a different dimension. Anyway, I finally get to the community center on Nesttunveien. It’s buzzing with people. I’m pumped! We’re hosting this event to bring everyone together. But then, bam! The projector breaks. Like, seriously? I’m standing there, trying to fix it, and I’m sweating like a pig. I’m thinking, “Great, just great. This is how I’m gonna go down in history.” But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs in. He’s like, “I found a cat!” And I’m like, “Dude, we’re in a crisis here!” But he’s all excited, and I can’t help but smile. So, we take a break from the tech disaster to pet this fluffy little thing. It’s a distraction I didn’t know I needed. After that, I’m back to the grind. I’m trying to rally the troops, and I’m like, “Let’s do this!” But then, someone spills coffee all over the floor. I’m just standing there, mouth agape, thinking, “Is this a comedy show?” I mean, come on! Finally, we get the projector working. I’m feeling like a hero. But then, the fire alarm goes off. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” Everyone’s rushing out, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. I’m yelling, “It’s probably a drill!” But deep down, I’m like, “Please don’t let it be a real fire.” Once we’re outside, I see the view of the mountains. It’s stunning, honestly. I take a moment to breathe. Nesttun is beautiful, with all its greenery and those cute little houses. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. After the chaos, we finally get back inside. The event goes on, and people start sharing stories. I’m laughing, I’m crying, it’s a whole rollercoaster. Someone even brought homemade pastries from the bakery on Nesttunveien. I mean, who doesn’t love free food? By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I’m thinking, “This is why I do what I do.” Nesttun is a wild ride, but it’s my wild ride. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, cats, coffee spills, and a whole lotta love for this quirky little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
