Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m a furrier, right? Yeah, I know, kinda niche, but hey, someone’s gotta keep folks warm in this chilly Sogndal! So, I wake up, and it’s raining. Typical Sogndal, right? I mean, it’s like the weather’s got a personal vendetta against me. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” I throw on my old boots and head out. I live near the main street, Sogndalsvegen, so it’s a quick walk to my shop. As I’m trudging along, I pass by the Sogndal Fjord. Man, it’s beautiful, but today? It looked like a moody teenager. Dark clouds, choppy water. I’m thinking, “C’mon, give me a break!” I finally get to my shop, and guess what? My delivery of pelts is late. Like, seriously late. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, looking at my watch. I’m ready to lose it. I mean, I’ve got customers waiting! Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Lars shows up. He’s all smiles, like he just won the lottery or something. “Dude, you won’t believe it! I found this amazing vintage fur coat at a thrift shop on Kongsvegen!” I’m like, “Lars, that’s great, but I need my pelts!” So, I’m trying to focus, but Lars keeps rambling. He’s got this wild story about how he haggled with the shop owner. I’m half-listening, half-wishing for my delivery. Finally, I snap. “Lars, I love ya, but I need to work!” He gets it, and leaves. Finally, the delivery truck rolls up. I’m like, “Finally!” But then, the driver’s like, “Uh, we got a problem.” I’m thinking, “What now?” Turns out, half my order is missing. I’m fuming. I mean, how hard is it to deliver some pelts? I call the supplier, and they’re like, “Sorry, mate, we’ll sort it.” I’m like, “Sort it? I need it NOW!” Ugh, so frustrating. After that, I decide to take a breather. I stroll down to the Sogndal town square. It’s buzzing with life. There’s a market going on, and I can smell fresh bread from the bakery. My stomach growls. I grab a cinnamon roll from a stand. Best decision ever! While I’m munching, I see this cute dog. It’s a fluffy little thing, and I’m like, “Aww, I need one of those!” But then I remember my cat, Momo, and how she’d probably freak out. Anyway, I head back to the shop, feeling a bit better. I start working on some coats, and then, boom! A customer walks in. She’s looking for a fur hat. I show her a few options, and she’s loving them. I’m feeling good again. But then, she drops a bomb. “I need it for tomorrow.” I’m like, “Tomorrow? Are you kidding me?” But I can’t say no. So, I hustle. I’m sewing like a madman, and somehow, I pull it off. She’s thrilled, and I’m like, “Phew!” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I lock up the shop and head home. The rain’s stopped, and the sunset over the fjord is stunning. I take a moment to just breathe it in. Sogndal, man. It’s got its quirks, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even on a crazy day like today, it’s home. And hey, tomorrow’s a new day, right?
