Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, Stryn really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m rollin’ down the main drag, Strynsvegen, and I’m already late. Classic me. I’m an abrasive blaster, not a morning person. I’m thinkin’ about that sweet job at the old factory on the edge of town. You know, the one by the fjord? Yeah, that place. I pull up, and guess what? The whole crew’s already there, and they’re all lookin’ at me like I’m the last slice of pizza at a party. So, I jump outta my truck, and boom! I trip over a rock. Like, seriously? A rock? In Stryn? I’m already mad, but then I see the view. The fjord, man! It’s like a postcard. I’m like, “Okay, maybe today won’t suck.” But then I remember I gotta blast some old paint off a boat. Not just any boat, but the one that’s been sittin’ there since the ‘80s. I grab my gear, and let me tell ya, that stuff is heavy. I’m huffin’ and puffin’ like I just ran a marathon. I get to work, and the first blast? Pure magic. Paint flies everywhere! I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, my compressor starts makin’ this weird noise. Like a cat in a blender. I’m like, “No, no, no! Not today!” I run over, and it’s just jammed. I’m cursing like a sailor. I mean, come on! I’m in Stryn, surrounded by mountains and beauty, and I’m stuck with a broken compressor? I finally fix it, but I’m already 2 hours behind. Ugh! Then, I take a break. I’m sittin’ on the steps of the old church on Kirkegata, just chugging my coffee. It’s a cute little spot, but I’m still fuming. I see this old guy feeding the ducks. He’s got a whole loaf of bread! I’m like, “Dude, share some!” But he just gives me this look like I’m crazy. Whatever, man. After my break, I head back to the job. I’m blasting away, and suddenly, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and it’s a bunch of kids playing soccer. They kicked the ball right into my work zone! I’m like, “Hey! Watch it!” But they just laugh and run off. Kids, man. They don’t care. Finally, I finish the job. I’m covered in dust, but I feel good. I pack up and head to the local pub, Stryn Bryggeri. I need a drink. I walk in, and it’s packed. Everyone’s talking, laughing, and I’m just like, “Yes! This is what I need.” I order a beer, and the bartender’s like, “You look like you’ve been through a war.” I laugh and say, “You have no idea!” I sit down, and this guy next to me starts chatting. Turns out he’s a fisherman. He tells me about his crazy day on the fjord. I’m all ears. He’s got stories about giant fish and storms. I’m laughing so hard, I almost spill my drink. As the night goes on, I’m feelin’ good. I forget about the compressor, the kids, and the rock. Stryn’s got this vibe, ya know? It’s chill, but it’s alive. I’m surrounded by good people, and I’m just grateful. So, I stumble outta the pub, and the stars are shining bright. I’m walking down Strynsvegen, and I can’t help but smile. Yeah, today was a rollercoaster, but that’s life, right? Full of surprises. I’m ready for whatever tomorrow brings. Bring it on, Stryn!
