Man, what a day! I swear, Trondheim is wild. I’m a car instructor, right? So, I’m used to the usual stuff. But today? Pffft, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m cruisin’ down Bakklandet, right? Beautiful area, all those colorful wooden houses by the river. I’m thinkin’, “Wow, this place is a postcard.” But then, bam! A cyclist zooms past me like he’s in the Tour de France. Dude, chill! It’s not a race! So, I pull up to my first student, Lars. Nice kid, but he’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We’re on Olav Tryggvasons gate, and I’m tryin’ to explain parallel parking. He’s just staring at the Nidaros Cathedral like it’s the Holy Grail or something. I’m like, “Lars, focus! The car won’t park itself!” Then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich! I’m just standing there, mouth agape. Like, really? A seagull? I’m in Trondheim, not a nature documentary! I’m half tempted to chase it down, but I’m not about to get into a bird fight. After that, we hit the road again. I’m tryin’ to teach him about roundabouts. You know, the ones on Brattøra? They’re like a maze! Lars is all over the place, and I’m yelling, “Stay in your lane!” I swear, I almost had a heart attack. But then, we get to the top of Tyholttårnet. The view is insane! You can see the whole city. I’m like, “Lars, look at that!” And he’s just glued to his phone. I’m thinkin’, “Dude, you’re missing the best part of Trondheim!” Finally, we wrap up the lesson. I’m exhausted, but I’m feelin’ good. I mean, I survived the day, right? But then, I get a call from my buddy, Erik. He’s like, “Let’s hit up a bar!” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” We end up at a place on Nordre gate. It’s packed! Everyone’s laughing, music’s bumpin’. I grab a drink, and suddenly, I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, I spill it all over my shirt. Classic me, right? I’m just standing there, sticky and embarrassed. Erik’s laughin’ his head off. I’m like, “Dude, help a brother out!” But nah, he just keeps laughing. I mean, it’s funny, but come on! As the night goes on, we’re talkin’ about life, dreams, and all that jazz. I’m feelin’ grateful for Trondheim. It’s quirky, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. But then, I get a text from Lars. He’s like, “Can we do more lessons?” I’m like, “Oh no, not again!” But deep down, I know I’ll say yes. So, that was my day in Trondheim. Full of ups and downs, laughs and spills. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe a sandwich that’s not stolen by a seagull. But hey, that’s life, right?
