Man, what a day! Seriously, Awapuni, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nah, Awapuni had other plans. First off, I hit the road on Tremaine Ave. It’s like the main drag, right? I’m cruising, vibing to some tunes, when BAM! Traffic jam. Like, come on! It’s a Tuesday, not rush hour! I’m sittin’ there, fuming. I mean, I’m a psychologist, I should be zen, but nope. I’m just a regular human, and I’m losing it. Finally, I get to my first client. A teen, let’s call him Jake. He’s got this wild hair, like a rockstar. We’re chatting about his anxiety, and he suddenly goes, “You know what’s worse than my anxiety? The food at Awapuni Park!” I laugh so hard, I almost snort. I mean, I get it. The park’s got some dodgy food stalls. But hey, it’s all about the vibe, right? After that, I head over to the Awapuni Racecourse. I’m not even into horse racing, but the energy there is electric! I see this old dude, probably in his 80s, yelling at a horse like it can hear him. “C’mon, Thunderbolt! You got this!” I’m cracking up. Like, dude, chill. It’s a horse, not your kid. Then, I decide to grab a coffee at the local café on Pascal St. Best flat white ever! Seriously, I could swim in it. But while I’m sipping, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it about…wait for it…who left the milk out. I mean, really? That’s what you’re fighting about? I’m just sitting there, trying not to laugh. Next, I head to the Awapuni Shopping Centre. It’s a bit of a maze, but I love it. I’m wandering around, and I spot this cute little shop selling handmade stuff. I’m all about supporting local, so I grab a quirky mug that says “Awapuni: Where the coffee is strong, and the people are stronger.” Love it! But then, I get a call from my buddy. He’s in a pickle. His car broke down on the corner of Kairanga-Bunnythorpe Rd. I’m like, “Dude, you’re in Awapuni! Just call a tow!” But he’s panicking. So, I rush over. On the way, I get stuck behind a tractor. A freakin’ tractor! I’m losing my mind. I mean, come on, it’s 2023! But then I see the fields around me, the green hills, and I’m like, okay, maybe Awapuni isn’t so bad. Finally, I get to my buddy. He’s standing there looking all helpless. I can’t help but laugh. “Dude, you look like a lost puppy!” He rolls his eyes. We wait for the tow truck, and I’m just thinking about how crazy this day has been. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. But I can’t stop smiling. Awapuni, you’ve got your quirks, but you’re my kinda place. I flop on the couch, thinking about all the wild stuff that happened. I mean, who knew a day in Awapuni could be so full of surprises? So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a psychologist in Awapuni. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
