Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Ellerslie, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be lit!” Little did I know, it was about to be a rollercoaster. First off, I’m strutting down Main Highway, feeling like a boss. I mean, who wouldn’t? Ellerslie’s got that chill vibe, ya know? But then, BAM! I trip over some random pothole. Like, come on, Ellerslie! Fix your roads! I’m not trying to audition for a slapstick comedy here. Anyway, I finally make it to the café on Arthur Street. Best flat white in town, no cap. I order my usual, and the barista, this dude named Jake, spills half of it on me. I’m like, “Bro, I didn’t order a shower!” But he’s super apologetic, so I just laugh it off. I mean, it’s just coffee, right? After that, I decide to hit up the Ellerslie Racecourse. I’m not even into horse racing, but the energy is wild! People are dressed to the nines, and I’m over here in my jeans and a tee. Whatever, I’m still fabulous. I grab a sausage sizzle from a food truck. Best decision ever! I’m munching away, and suddenly, I see this horse named “Lightning Bolt” just bolt outta the gate. I’m talking full-on gallop mode. Everyone’s losing it! I’m screaming like I’m at a rock concert. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my mate Sam. He’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, he just got a new job at the Ellerslie Event Centre. I’m stoked for him! But then he tells me it’s for organizing weddings. I’m like, “Bro, you’re gonna be knee-deep in cake and drama!” We both crack up. So, we decide to hit up the park on the corner of Kalmia and Main. It’s a chill spot, perfect for people-watching. We plop down on the grass, and I’m just vibing. But then, this kid runs past us, chasing a frisbee, and totally wipes out. I can’t help but laugh. Like, dude, you okay? But he just gets up and keeps running. Kids are tough, man. As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, grateful, a bit annoyed about the coffee incident, but mostly just vibing with life. I mean, Ellerslie is my jam. The streets, the people, the random moments. It’s all a part of the adventure. But then, I get a text from my boss. “Need you to come in for a last-minute shoot.” Ugh, seriously? I was just getting into the groove of the day! But hey, a model’s gotta do what a model’s gotta do, right? I rush back to my place on Ladies Mile, throw on some decent clothes, and head out. The city lights are starting to twinkle, and I’m feeling a mix of excitement and dread. I mean, I love my job, but sometimes it feels like I’m running a marathon in heels. Finally, I get to the studio, and it’s chaos. Everyone’s running around, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. But then, I nail the shoot! Like, I’m talking magazine cover material. I walk out feeling like a superstar. So, yeah, that was my day in Ellerslie. Full of ups and downs, laughter and spills, but that’s what makes it real, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
