Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in my little flat on the corner of West Coast Rd and Marine Parade. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a client at the West-Harbour Marina. I mean, who doesn’t love a good view of the water, right? But then, I got there and realized I forgot my fan. Ugh! It’s like forgetting your phone, but worse. I was sweating like a pig in a sauna. Not cute. So, I’m standing there, trying to look all graceful and stuff, and this dude shows up late. Like, come on! I’m not here to wait around. I’m a geisha, not a doormat! Finally, he rolls in, all flustered, and I’m like, “Dude, you’re lucky I’m in a good mood.” We start chatting, and he’s all about the local spots. He mentions the West-Harbour Village, and I’m like, “Oh, I love that place!” It’s got the cutest cafes and shops. I mean, who doesn’t love a good flat white? But then he goes on about how he thinks the new development on the waterfront is gonna ruin the vibe. I totally agree! Like, why mess with perfection? After that, I had to dash over to the West-Harbour School for a little cultural event. I was supposed to do a performance, but I was running late. I mean, I’m all about being punctual, but today was just chaos. I sprinted down Victoria Rd, dodging kids on bikes and old folks walking their dogs. I swear, I almost tripped over a poodle. When I finally got there, the kids were super excited. They loved my kimono! I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s bright pink with cherry blossoms. But then, one little kid yells, “Are you a princess?” and I’m like, “Nah, just a geisha, but thanks!” Kids are hilarious, right? So, I do my thing, and they’re all clapping and laughing. It felt good, you know? Like, I was actually making a difference. But then, out of nowhere, this kid throws a paper airplane at me. I mean, really? I’m trying to be all graceful, and you’re throwing paper at me? I laughed it off, but inside, I was like, “What the heck, kid?” After the performance, I needed a breather. I strolled down to the West-Harbour Beach. The waves were crashing, and I just sat there for a bit. It was peaceful. I thought about how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place. But then, I saw a seagull steal someone’s chips. I mean, come on! That bird was bold! As the sun started to set, I headed back home. I took a detour through the West-Harbour Park. It’s got this amazing view of the city skyline. I stopped to take a pic, and my phone died. Ugh, typical! I was so mad! But then I thought, “Whatever, I’ll just remember it.” Finally, I got home, exhausted but happy. I plopped down on my couch, and all I could think was, “What a day!” I mean, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. From anger to joy to surprise, it was all there. So yeah, that was my day in West-Harbour. Full of unexpected twists and turns. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
