Man, what a day! Seriously, Augustów, you wild beast. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just me and my textures, right? But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m strolling down ul. 29 Listopada, just vibin’ with my coffee. You know, the good stuff from that little café, Kawa i Czekolada. I’m all about that caffeine life. But then, boom! A pigeon decides my shoulder is its personal landing pad. Like, dude, I’m not a statue! I freak out, spill my coffee everywhere. Great start, huh? Anyway, I shake it off. I’m like, “Whatever, it’s just a bird.” But then I see this street performer on ul. Kościuszki. He’s playing the accordion like he’s in a movie or something. I’m low-key impressed. I mean, who even plays the accordion anymore? I toss him a few złotys. He gives me this huge grin. I’m like, “Yeah, man, keep it up!” Then I head to the Augustów Canal. OMG, the views! The water is glistening, and I’m feeling all artsy. I pull out my sketchbook, ready to capture the vibes. But then, outta nowhere, this group of tourists shows up. They’re loud, taking selfies, and I’m just trying to find my zen, you know? I’m like, “Can y’all not?” But whatever, I try to focus. Suddenly, I hear this commotion. A kid, probably like 10, is crying. Turns out, he lost his ice cream. I mean, I get it. That’s a tragedy. So, I do the unthinkable. I buy him a new one. Yeah, I’m a softie. But hey, it’s Augustów, and we gotta look out for each other, right? After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. I decide to hit up the local market on ul. Sienkiewicza. Man, the smells! Fresh bread, fruits, and all that good stuff. I grab some strawberries. They’re like little bursts of summer. I’m munching on them, feeling like a king. But then, I see this old lady struggling with her bags. I rush over, cause that’s just what you do. She’s super grateful, and we start chatting. Turns out, she’s lived in Augustów her whole life. She tells me stories about the old days, when the town was just a tiny village. I’m like, “Wow, that’s wild!” But then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my boss. He’s like, “Hey, we need those textures ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a life-changing moment here!” But I can’t say that, so I just nod and say, “Sure, I’ll get on it.” I rush back home, but the streets are packed. I’m dodging people on ul. Jagielońska like I’m in a video game. I finally get to my studio, and I’m like, “Okay, let’s do this.” But my brain’s all over the place. I can’t focus! I start working on this texture for a game. It’s supposed to be a forest floor, but all I can think about is that kid and his ice cream. I’m like, “Why is life so complicated?” I take a break, scroll through my phone, and see a meme about pigeons. I laugh so hard, I almost drop my phone. Finally, I get it done. I send it off, and I’m like, “Phew, that was a ride.” I step outside, and the sun’s setting over the canal. It’s beautiful. I take a deep breath, and I’m like, “Augustów, you crazy town, you’ve got my heart.” So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Just another day in Augustów.
