Man, what a day! I swear, being a ratcatcher in Bialoleka is like being in a freakin' circus. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinking about the rats. Ugh. I grab my coffee from that little place on Głębocka. Best coffee in town, no joke. First stop, some old lady on Słowiańska calls me. Says she’s got a rat problem. I’m like, “Lady, you live in Bialoleka, of course, you do!” I get there, and it’s a whole scene. This rat is HUGE. Like, I’m talking about a furry monster. I’m not even exaggerating. It’s like the size of a small cat. I’m thinking, “What are you feeding this thing, lady?” So, I set my traps, right? And while I’m waiting, I start chatting with her. She’s telling me about the good ol’ days when Bialoleka was all fields and farms. I’m like, “Yeah, now it’s just fields of rats.” We both laugh, but I’m low-key annoyed. I mean, can’t a guy catch a break? Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, screaming about a “giant rat!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m right here!” But nah, he’s talking about my furry friend. I chase after him, and we end up on the corner of Słowiańska and Siennicka. There’s a crowd now. Great. Just what I need. I finally catch the rat. It’s a battle, man. I’m wrestling with this thing, and the crowd’s cheering me on like I’m some kinda hero. I’m sweating, cursing under my breath. “This is not what I signed up for!” But hey, I get it in the trap. Victory! But then, as I’m packing up, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some dude on a bike just wiped out. He’s fine, but his bike? Total wreck. I can’t help but laugh. Bialoleka, man. It’s a wild place. Next, I head over to the park by the Białołęka River. I need a breather. I sit on a bench, and this couple starts arguing next to me. I’m just trying to enjoy my sandwich, but they’re going at it. “You never listen!” “You always forget!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m just here for the rats, not your drama.” After that, I get a call from a bar on Słowiańska. They’ve got a rat problem too. I’m like, “Of course you do! You’re serving food!” I get there, and it’s packed. People are drinking, laughing, and there’s me, the ratcatcher, trying to look cool. I set up my traps again, and while I’m waiting, I grab a drink. Gotta stay hydrated, right? I’m chatting with the bartender, and he’s telling me about the time he saw a rat steal a whole pizza. I’m dying laughing. Only in Bialoleka, man. Finally, I catch another rat. This one’s smaller but still a pain. I’m feeling good, though. Two rats in one day? Not bad. I head home, exhausted but satisfied. As I walk through the streets, I can’t help but think about how crazy Bialoleka is. The mix of old and new, the people, the stories. It’s wild. I love it, even with all the rats. So yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a ratcatcher in Bialoleka. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
