Man, what a day! I swear, being a carpenter in Bierun is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit the road on ul. Słowackiego. Traffic was a mess. Like, come on, people! It’s not a parking lot! I’m stuck behind this old lady driving 20 km/h. Bless her heart, but I got places to be! Finally, I zoom past her, and boom! I see my buddy, Jarek, on the corner of ul. 1 Maja. He’s got this huge grin, and I’m like, “What’s up, man?” Turns out, he just got a new truck. I’m happy for him, but also a bit jealous. I mean, I’m still driving my old clunker. So, I get to the workshop on ul. Główna, and it’s chaos. My boss, Mr. Kowalski, is pacing like a caged lion. He’s all stressed about this big project. We gotta build a deck for some fancy-pants client. I’m thinking, “Dude, it’s just wood!” But no, he’s acting like it’s the end of the world. We start measuring and cutting. I’m in my zone, you know? Just me and the saw. Then, outta nowhere, I slice my finger. Ouch! Blood everywhere! I’m cursing like a sailor. “Why me?!” I grab a band-aid, but it’s like a tiny paper cut. I’m fine, but it’s just one more thing to deal with. Then, lunchtime rolls around. I hit up this little place on ul. Wrzosowa. Best pierogi in town, no joke! I order a plate, and while I’m waiting, I see this kid playing with a dog. The dog’s all over the place, and I’m cracking up. Kids and dogs, man, they just get it. But then, my food comes, and it’s cold! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I tell the waitress, and she’s super nice about it. She takes it back, and I’m just sitting there, fuming. I mean, I’m starving! Finally, she brings me a fresh plate, and it’s glorious. I devour those pierogi like I haven’t eaten in days. After lunch, back to the grind. We’re working on the deck, and it’s going well. I’m feeling good, you know? Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m drenched in seconds. My tools are getting soaked, and I’m just standing there, laughing at the absurdity of it all. “This is my life,” I think. We take cover under this tree on ul. Leśna. It’s not ideal, but hey, better than nothing. I’m chatting with the guys, and we’re cracking jokes. It’s moments like these that make the job worth it. Finally, the rain stops, and we get back to work. We finish the deck, and it looks amazing! I’m proud, man. I take a step back, and it’s like, “Yeah, I did that.” As I’m packing up, I bump into an old friend from high school. We start reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Bierun hasn’t changed much, but we have. It’s wild how time flies. By the time I get home, I’m exhausted but happy. I plop down on the couch, and I’m just thinking about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. But that’s life in Bierun, right? Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another crazy, beautiful day in Bierun. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
