Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a raftsman in Bytow is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I head down to the river, the Bytówka. It’s like my second home, ya know? But today, it’s all murky and gross. I’m like, “What the heck happened here?” Turns out, some kids were throwin’ trash. Ugh! I mean, c’mon, people! This ain’t a landfill! I’m fuming, but I gotta keep it cool. Can’t let the tourists see me lose it. So, I grab my raft, and I’m ready to roll. I’m paddling down the river, and it’s kinda peaceful. The trees along the banks are lush, and I can see the old castle in the distance. Bytow’s got this vibe, ya know? History everywhere. But then, outta nowhere, I hear this loud splash. I look over, and some dude just fell in! I’m like, “Dude, you good?” He’s flailing around, and I can’t help but laugh. Classic Bytow moment, right? After that, I swing by the market on ul. Słowiańska. Man, the smells! Fresh bread, flowers, and that one guy who sells those weird pickles. I swear, he’s got a pickle for every mood. I grab a couple of those and chat with the locals. They’re all like, “Hey, raftsman! How’s the river?” I’m like, “It’s a mess, but I’m surviving!” Then, I bump into my buddy, Kuba. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s ranting about how he saw a bear near the castle. I’m like, “Dude, you sure it wasn’t just a big dog?” But he’s adamant. “Nah, man! It was a bear!” I roll my eyes, but it’s hilarious. Only in Bytow, right? Later, I’m back on the river, and the sun’s setting. It’s beautiful, like a painting. But then, I see this family trying to take a selfie. They’re all crowded on the edge of the raft, and I’m like, “Guys, be careful!” But they’re too busy posing. Next thing I know, they’re all in the water! I can’t stop laughing. They’re splashing around, and I’m just sittin’ there, shaking my head. As I’m paddling back, I can’t help but think about how crazy this day was. Bytow’s got its quirks, for sure. The streets, the people, the river—it’s all a bit chaotic, but that’s what makes it home. I mean, where else can you see a bear (or a big dog) and a family of tourists all in one day? Finally, I get back to the dock, and I’m exhausted. But I’m smiling. This city, man, it’s got my heart. Even with the trash, the splashes, and the wild stories, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Bytow, you crazy, but I love ya!
