Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m a watchmaker, right? Just your average dude tinkering with gears and springs. But today? Today was a whole different ball game. I woke up in my little workshop on ul. Warszawska, the sun barely peeking through the window. I was already late for my first appointment. Classic me. I rushed out, tripping over my own feet. I mean, who needs coffee when you’ve got adrenaline, right? First stop, a lady named Mrs. Kowalska. She’s a sweet old lady, but man, she can talk! I swear, I was just trying to fix her ancient pocket watch, and she started telling me about her cat, Miauśka. Like, I get it, cats are cute, but I’m here to fix time, not listen to cat stories! Anyway, while I’m working on her watch, I hear this loud commotion outside. I peek out the window on ul. 3 Maja, and there’s a parade! A freakin’ parade! In Ciechanów! I mean, who knew? I thought parades were for big cities, not our little town. Turns out, it was some local festival. People were dancing, music blasting, and I’m just standing there, wrench in hand, feeling like I’m missing out on life. So, I finish up with Mrs. Kowalska, and she hands me a slice of her famous szarlotka. I’m like, “Thanks, but I gotta go!” But she insists. I take a bite, and oh man, it’s heavenly. I’m torn between the watch and the cake. Priorities, right? Next, I head over to ul. Ciechanowska to meet this guy, Piotr. He’s got a watch that looks like it’s been through a war zone. I mean, it’s all scratched up, and the hands are missing. I’m thinking, “Dude, what did you do to this thing?” He tells me he dropped it while biking. Classic Piotr. While I’m fixing his watch, I can’t help but notice the street art around. Ciechanów’s got some cool murals, man. There’s this one of a dragon on ul. Sienkiewicza that’s just epic. I’m thinking, “Why can’t I be that creative?” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously, it’s a monsoon! I’m stuck in the workshop, and I can hear the rain pounding on the roof. I’m getting all philosophical, like, “Is this a sign? Am I meant to be a watchmaker or a poet?” After the rain, I decide to take a stroll. I hit up the park by the castle ruins. Ciechanów’s got this cool history, and the castle is just chilling there, looking all majestic. I sit on a bench, munching on the rest of Mrs. Kowalska’s szarlotka, and I’m just vibing. But then, I see this kid trying to fly a kite. The wind’s all over the place, and the kite’s just flopping around. I’m laughing, thinking, “Man, that’s me trying to get my life together.” As I’m walking back, I bump into my buddy, Jarek. He’s got this wild idea to start a watch club. I’m like, “Dude, who’s gonna join? Old folks?” But he’s all hyped about it. We end up chatting about watches, life, and how Ciechanów is the best place to be. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I plop down on my couch, thinking about the day. It was chaotic, funny, and a bit surreal. Ciechanów, with its quirky streets and unexpected moments, always keeps me on my toes. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in the life of a watchmaker in Ciechanów. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
