Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a shoemaker in Deblin is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I head down ul. Kościuszki, my usual route to the shop. But guess what? There’s a freakin’ parade! Like, who even organizes a parade on a Tuesday? I’m dodging people left and right, tryna get to my shop. I swear, I almost tripped over some kid’s balloon. Seriously, who gives a kid a balloon that big? Finally, I make it to my little corner on ul. Słowackiego. My shop’s not much, just a cozy spot with tools everywhere and the smell of leather that hits ya like a warm hug. But today? Today, it was chaos. I had a line out the door. Everyone and their grandma needed shoes fixed. I mean, c’mon, how many pairs of shoes can one person wear out? So, I’m workin’ my magic, right? Fixing this old lady’s sandals. She’s chatty, bless her heart. Tells me about her cat, Mr. Whiskers. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just here to fix your shoes, not hear about your cat’s diet.” But she’s sweet, so I nod and smile. Then, outta nowhere, this dude barges in. He’s all frantic, like he just saw a ghost or something. Turns out, he lost his wedding ring in the park. I’m thinkin’, “Dude, you’re in the wrong place. I fix shoes, not relationships.” But he’s desperate, so I tell him I’ll keep an eye out. After that, I take a break. Grab a zapiekanka from that little stand on ul. 1 Maja. Best snack ever! I’m munching away, enjoying the vibe. Deblin’s got this charm, ya know? The old buildings, the river, the people. It’s like a postcard, but with more pigeons. But then, I get back to the shop, and guess what? The old lady’s back! She forgot her sandals! I’m like, “Lady, you just left them here!” She laughs, and I can’t help but chuckle too. Then, the angry customer shows up. He’s fuming about his shoes. Says I didn’t fix them right. I’m like, “Dude, you brought me a pair of shoes that looked like they survived a war!” But I keep my cool. I fix ‘em again, but man, I’m boiling inside. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I close up shop and head to the riverbank. Just wanna chill and watch the sunset. Deblin’s sunsets are something else. The sky turns all these crazy colors. I sit there, thinkin’ about the day. I laugh at the parade, the frantic dude, the angry customer. Life’s wild, man. Deblin’s wild. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just me, my shoes, and this crazy little town. What a day!
