Man, what a day in Glowno! Seriously, I can’t even. Woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it decided to take a day off. So, I’m sprinting down ul. Główna, dodging pigeons like it’s an Olympic sport. Those birds are relentless, I swear. First stop? My fave café, Kawa i Czekolada. I needed my caffeine fix. Walk in, and boom! The barista, Ania, is all smiles. She’s like, “Hey, you look like you need a double shot!” I’m like, “Girl, you have no idea.” Got my coffee, and it was like liquid gold. But then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Tomek. He’s in a jam. His car broke down on ul. Słowiańska. I’m like, “Dude, you’re killing me!” But I can’t leave him hanging. So, I chug my coffee and bolt. Driving through Glowno is a trip. The streets are a maze. I swear, I took a wrong turn on ul. Wrzosowa and ended up in some random neighborhood. I’m like, “Where am I?!” But then I see this cute little park. It’s got these old trees and a playground. Kids are laughing, and I’m like, “Aww, that’s nice.” Finally, I find Tomek. His car is a total wreck. I mean, it’s not even worth fixing. He’s all stressed, and I’m just trying to lighten the mood. “Bro, at least you’re not stuck in traffic on ul. 1 Maja!” He laughs, but I can tell he’s not feeling it. So, we decide to walk to the nearest mechanic. It’s a trek, but whatever. We pass by the old church on ul. Kościelna. It’s beautiful, but I’m too busy ranting about how life is unfair. “Why can’t cars just work, man?” Tomek’s like, “Maybe you should get a bike.” I roll my eyes. “Yeah, right. I’d rather walk.” After what feels like forever, we finally reach the mechanic. It’s this grumpy old dude named Janek. He looks at Tomek’s car and just shakes his head. “This is a lost cause.” I’m like, “Great, just great.” But then, outta nowhere, Janek cracks a joke. “You should’ve bought a horse instead!” I burst out laughing. Like, who even says that? So, we leave the mechanic, and I’m feeling a bit better. We decide to grab some food at this little place on ul. Złota. The pierogi there are to die for. I mean, seriously, I could eat a hundred. While we’re eating, I get a text from my crush, Kasia. She’s like, “Hey, wanna hang out later?” My heart does a flip. I’m like, “Yes, please!” But I play it cool. “Sure, what’s up?” After lunch, Tomek and I head back to his car. We’re joking about how he’s gonna have to take the bus now. “Welcome to the 21st century, bro!” I tease. Finally, I drop him off and head home. I’m exhausted but kinda happy. Glowno is wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s home. Later, I meet up with Kasia at the park. We sit on a bench, and I’m trying not to be awkward. She’s talking about her day, and I’m just staring at her. She’s so cool. Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m like, “Of course, it would rain now!” But we just laugh and run for cover. By the end of the day, I’m soaked but happy. Glowno, you crazy city, you’ve done it again. What a ride!
