Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a barber in Gluszyca is like riding a rollercoaster. So, I roll into the shop on ul. Złota, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First client walks in. Old dude, like 80, smells like he just bathed in aftershave. I’m like, “Hey, Mr. Zawadzki, what’s up?” He’s all, “Just a trim, lad.” But then he starts rambling about the good ol’ days. I’m nodding, but inside I’m like, “C’mon, man, I got a line!” He’s talkin’ about how he used to play football on ul. Główna back when it was just dirt. I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but I’m also thinkin’, “Dude, it’s 2023, not 1923!” Finally, I get him sorted. He leaves, and I’m feelin’ good. But then, bam! Next client is this kid, maybe 12, with a mohawk. He’s like, “I want it bright green!” I’m like, “Bro, you sure?” He’s all in, so I’m like, “Alright, let’s do this.” Halfway through, his mom bursts in, all panicked. “What are you doing to my son?!” I’m like, “Chill, lady, it’s just hair!” She’s not havin’ it. I’m tryin’ to explain that it’s just a phase, but she’s givin’ me the death stare. I’m like, “Lady, I’m a barber, not a babysitter!” After that chaos, I need a breather. I step outside, and man, the view from ul. Słowiańska is killer. The mountains in the background, the fresh air. I’m thinkin’, “This is why I love Gluszyca.” But then, I see a dog chasing a cat. Classic, right? But the cat jumps right into the street! I’m like, “No way!” Luckily, the car stops. Phew! Heart’s racing, though. Back in the shop, I’m ready for the next round. This dude walks in, looking like he just rolled outta bed. He’s got a beard that could house a family of squirrels. I’m like, “What’s up, man?” He’s all, “Just a trim.” I’m thinkin’, “Dude, you need more than a trim.” But hey, I’m not here to judge. I get to work, and he starts tellin’ me about his conspiracy theories. I’m like, “Bro, I just cut hair, not your life story.” But he’s on a roll, and I’m stuck listenin’. Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! I’m like, “Seriously?!” The whole block goes dark. I’m sittin’ there with scissors in hand, and the dude’s beard is half-done. I’m thinkin’, “Great, now I’m a barber in the dark.” But then, the lights flicker back on. Thank you, Gluszyca power gods! Finally, the day winds down. I’m exhausted but happy. I step outside again, and the sunset over the mountains is just beautiful. I’m thinkin’, “This is why I do what I do.” Gluszyca, with its crazy streets and wild stories, keeps me on my toes. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a barber in Gluszyca!
