Man, today was a wild ride in Grudziądz! Like, seriously, I didn’t expect this city to throw so much at me. So, I woke up, right? Sun shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up ul. Spichrzowa for breakfast. You know, the place with those killer pancakes? Yeah, I was ready to devour. But guess what? They were out of pancakes! Like, how do you run out of pancakes? I was fuming. I mean, c’mon, it’s breakfast! So, I settled for some sad toast. Ugh. After that, I decided to stroll down ul. Sienkiewicza. It’s a nice street, full of shops and stuff. I was just vibing, listening to my tunes, when BAM! A pigeon poops right on my shoulder. Like, really? I’m just trying to enjoy my day, and this bird decides I’m its target. I laughed it off, but inside, I was like, “Why me?” Then, I bumped into this old dude. He was sitting on a bench near the Vistula River, just staring at the water. I thought, “This guy’s got wisdom.” So, I sat next to him. We started chatting, and he told me stories about Grudziądz back in the day. Like, did you know the city used to be a major trade hub? Crazy, right? He was all nostalgic, and I was just soaking it in. But then, outta nowhere, this group of kids runs by, playing soccer. One of them kicks the ball, and it lands right in the river. The old dude just shakes his head, laughing. I’m like, “Dude, that’s a lost cause.” But the kids? They jumped in after it! I was dying. They were soaked, but hey, they got the ball back. Kids are wild, man. After that, I needed a pick-me-up. So, I hit up this little café on ul. 3 Maja. They have the best coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, and while I was waiting, I noticed this cute dog outside. It was just chilling, looking all majestic. I thought, “Man, I need a dog.” But then I remembered I can barely take care of myself. LOL. Finally, I decided to check out the Grudziądz Castle. It’s this massive structure overlooking the river. I mean, it’s stunning! I climbed up to the top, and the view? Breathtaking. I felt like I was on top of the world. But then, I saw a bunch of tourists taking selfies. I rolled my eyes. Like, c’mon, it’s not that deep. But hey, whatever floats your boat, right? As I was heading back, I passed by ul. Chełmińska. There was this street performer playing the accordion. He was actually pretty good! I stopped to listen, and before I knew it, I was clapping along. It was one of those moments that just makes you smile, you know? But then, out of nowhere, it started pouring! I mean, like, torrential downpour. I sprinted for cover, but I was already soaked. I ducked into a shop on ul. Biskupa Jordana. The owner was super nice and offered me a towel. I was like, “Dude, you’re a lifesaver!” By the time the rain stopped, I was exhausted but happy. Grudziądz had thrown everything at me today. From pigeon poop to castle views, it was a rollercoaster. I headed home, thinking about how this city is full of surprises. I mean, who knew a day could be so intense? So yeah, that was my day in Grudziądz. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
