Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a baker in Gryfino is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up at the crack of dawn, right? Like, 4 AM. I’m bleary-eyed, but the smell of fresh bread is my jam. I live on ul. Słowiańska, and lemme tell ya, the birds don’t even chirp at that hour. Just me and my dough. First thing, I’m mixing up this batch of sourdough. It’s my specialty, ya know? But then, boom! The power goes out. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?!” I’m standing there in the dark, flour everywhere, lookin’ like a ghost. I grab my phone, flashlight on, and I’m trippin’ over bags of flour. Classic me, right? So, I decide to take a stroll down ul. 1 Maja. It’s a nice street, but it’s still dark. I’m hopin’ to find a café open or somethin’. No luck. Just me and the shadows. I’m thinkin’ about how I could really use a coffee right now. Like, who needs sleep when you have caffeine? Finally, I get back to the shop. Power’s back! Yay! I’m like a kid on Christmas morning. I throw the dough in the oven, and it’s lookin’ good. But then, my buddy Tomek shows up. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe it! I saw a cat riding a dog!” I’m like, “What?!” But honestly, in Gryfino, that’s not even the weirdest thing I’ve heard. So, I’m tryin’ to focus on my baking, but Tomek’s just ramblin’. He’s got this wild energy, and I’m like, “Bro, I need to knead this dough, not listen to your life story!” But he’s persistent. He starts talkin’ about the new park by ul. Lechitów. Apparently, they’re puttin’ in a fountain. I’m like, “Great, more places for kids to splash around while I’m tryin’ to make a living!” Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s a message from my mom. She’s like, “Did you hear about the festival in Gryfino?” I’m like, “What festival?” Turns out, they’re havin’ this big thing down by the river. Food stalls, music, the whole shebang. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need. A million people in my way while I’m tryin’ to deliver bread.” But then, I get this wild idea. What if I set up a stall? I mean, who doesn’t love fresh bread? So, I grab my best loaves, pack ‘em up, and head down to the festival. The vibe is electric! People everywhere, music blaring, kids runnin’ around. I’m feelin’ pumped! I set up my little stall on ul. Główna, and man, the crowd goes wild for my sourdough. I’m sellin’ like hotcakes! I’m talkin’ to folks, makin’ jokes, and even gettin’ a little flirty with this girl named Kasia. She’s got this smile that could light up the whole city. I’m like, “You want a free loaf?” Smooth, right? But then, disaster strikes. Some kid knocks over my display. Bread goes flyin’ everywhere! I’m like, “Nooooo!” I’m tryin’ to salvage what I can, but it’s a mess. I’m angry, but then I see the kid’s face. He’s so sorry, and I can’t stay mad. I just laugh it off. “Hey, kid, you owe me a loaf!” The day wraps up, and I’m exhausted but happy. I made some cash, met cool people, and even got a date with Kasia. Gryfino, you crazy little town, you never cease to amaze me. I’m headin’ home, thinkin’ about how tomorrow’s another day. More bread, more chaos, and who knows what else? Can’t wait!
