Man, what a day! I swear, being a shepherd in Karczew is like being in a never-ending circus. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already thinking about my sheep. Gotta check on them. But first, coffee. Can’t function without my morning brew. I hit the road, trudging down ul. Główna. It’s a chill street, but today? Ugh, it was packed! Like, what’s with all the cars? I mean, c’mon, it’s a small town! I’m dodging traffic like I’m in some video game. Sheep don’t care about traffic lights, ya know? So, I finally get to the pasture near the Vistula River. Beautiful spot, really. The river’s glistening, and I’m like, “Ahh, this is the life.” But then, outta nowhere, my sheep decide to play hide and seek. Seriously, they scatter like they’re in a race. I’m running after them, yelling, “Hey! Get back here!” I must’ve looked ridiculous. Then, I spot this old lady on ul. Słowiańska. She’s just watching me, shaking her head. I can’t tell if she’s judging me or just enjoying the show. Probably both. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna see a shepherd chasing sheep like a madman? After what felt like an eternity, I finally round them up. But guess what? One little rascal decides to jump into a garden. And not just any garden—this one’s got the biggest, most colorful flowers I’ve ever seen. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna ruin their day!” But nope, he’s munching away like it’s a buffet. I’m about to lose it. I knock on the door of the house. This guy opens up, looking all confused. I’m like, “Hey, sorry about your flowers. My sheep, ya know?” He just laughs. “No worries, mate. They’re just flowers.” I mean, who’s this guy? A flower enthusiast or what? Finally, I get my sheep back. I’m sweating like a pig, but hey, at least I got a story. I head back to ul. Kościuszki, thinking I can finally chill. But nope! There’s a market today. The whole street’s buzzing. I can smell the pierogi from a mile away. My stomach’s growling like a bear. I grab some food, and while I’m munching, I see my buddy, Jarek. He’s got this wild idea to join a local band. I’m like, “Dude, you can’t even carry a tune!” But he’s all hyped up, talking about how he’ll be the next rock star. I just laugh. “Yeah, right! You’ll be the next sheep herder with a guitar!” As the day goes on, I’m feeling good. The sun’s setting, and Karczew looks magical. The old buildings on ul. Warszawska are glowing. I’m thinking, “Man, I love this place.” But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. My sheep are looking at me like, “What’s your plan now, genius?” I’m running back home, slipping on the wet pavement. I’m cursing under my breath. “Why today? Why now?” But then I see the rainbow. It’s huge, stretching over the river. I stop, just for a sec. It’s beautiful. Makes all the chaos worth it. Finally, I get home, drenched but happy. I plop down on my couch, thinking about the day. Karczew, man. It’s wild, it’s crazy, but it’s home. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe for a dry shirt. But that’s it!
