Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Kłodzko is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up the local café on ul. Kościuszki. Best coffee in town, no cap. I grab my usual – a double espresso, strong enough to wake the dead. I’m sittin’ there, scrolling through my phone, when I see a post about an estate auction at the old Kłodzko Fortress. I’m like, “Heck yeah, I’m in!” I mean, who wouldn’t wanna auction off some ancient stuff in a fortress? Sounds epic, right? So, I rush over to the fortress. It’s this massive, old-school structure, all stone and history. I’m pumped! But then, I get there and it’s chaos. People everywhere, like ants at a picnic. I’m tryin’ to set up my stuff, but there’s this dude, I swear, he’s like a human tornado. He’s bumpin’ into me, spillin’ his drink all over my notes. I’m like, “Dude, chill! This ain’t a mosh pit!” Finally, I get my act together. The auction starts, and I’m in my element. I’m shoutin’ bids, makin’ jokes, and the crowd’s lovin’ it. I mean, who knew people would fight over a rusty sword? But then, outta nowhere, this lady in the front row starts yellin’. Turns out, she’s the sword’s great-great-granddaughter or somethin’. She’s all, “That’s my family heirloom!” I’m like, “Lady, it’s a rusty sword, not the crown jewels!” But hey, I get it. Family drama, right? So, I smooth things over, and we end up auctioning it off to her for a decent price. She’s cryin’, I’m feelin’ like a hero. It’s a wild mix of emotions, man. Then, just when I think it can’t get crazier, the power goes out. I’m standin’ there in the dark, and I’m like, “Great, just great.” But the crowd? They start clappin’ and cheerin’. I’m thinkin’, “What are they, crazy?” But then I realize, they’re just havin’ a blast. So, I grab my flashlight, and I’m like, “Alright, folks! Who wants to bid on a flashlight?” Laughter erupts. I’m tellin’ ya, Kłodzko knows how to have a good time. We end up auctioning off random stuff – a chair, a lamp, even a cat statue. People are lovin’ it! After the auction, I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll down ul. Złotnicza, grab a zapiekanka from a street vendor. Best late-night snack ever. I’m munchin’ away, thinkin’ about how wild the day was. Kłodzko, with its cobblestone streets and that beautiful old bridge, always surprises me. But then, I see this guy, right? He’s tryin’ to sell me a “magic” rock. I’m like, “Dude, it’s a rock.” He’s all, “No, it brings good luck!” I’m like, “Yeah, right. I’ll stick to my espresso.” So, I head home, my mind racing. Kłodzko, man. It’s a mix of history, chaos, and a whole lotta heart. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of an auctioneer, I guess. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
