Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I’m an actuary, right? You know, the number cruncher, the risk guy. But today? Today was anything but boring. I woke up in my tiny flat on ul. Sienkiewicza. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Hey, maybe today won’t suck.” Spoiler alert: it did. I grabbed a quick coffee from my fave spot, Café Kolo. Best espresso in town, no cap. But the barista? She was in a mood. Like, chill, girl. It’s just coffee. So, I’m walking down ul. Kościuszki, minding my own business, when I see this huge crowd. I’m like, “What’s going on?” Turns out, it’s some street festival. Food stalls everywhere, music blasting. I’m thinking, “Sweet, free food!” But nah, it was packed. I couldn’t even get a pierogi without elbowing some dude in a neon shirt. I finally snagged a plate of those delicious pierogi, and I’m feeling good. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs into me. Spills my food all over my shirt. I’m standing there, looking like a walking pierogi disaster. I’m fuming! Like, come on, kid! After that, I needed a breather. So, I strolled over to the park by ul. 3 Maja. It’s a nice spot, you know? Trees, benches, and a little pond. I sat down, trying to calm my nerves. But then, I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, get a room!” But it was kinda funny. They were throwing around some wild accusations. Then, I got a call from work. Ugh, the worst. My boss is like, “We need those risk assessments ASAP!” I’m like, “Bro, I just got hit by a kid and lost my lunch!” But I put on my professional voice and said, “Sure, I’ll get right on it.” After that, I decided to hit up the local market on ul. Wrzesińska. I needed some fresh veggies for dinner. But guess what? They were out of everything! I mean, how do you run out of tomatoes? It’s a market! I was so annoyed. I ended up buying some weird-looking squash. What even is that? By now, I’m just done. I head back home, and on the way, I pass by the old church on ul. Główna. It’s beautiful, really. I stop for a sec, take a deep breath, and think, “Okay, maybe today wasn’t a total bust.” But then, I see a stray dog. He’s just chilling, looking all sad. I can’t help it. I go over, and he’s super friendly. I’m like, “Dude, you wanna come home with me?” I named him Kolo. So now I’ve got a dog named after the city. Classic. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, Kolo the dog beside me. I think about my day. It was wild, emotional, and honestly, kinda hilarious. Kolo’s a good name for a dog. It fits. So yeah, that was my day in Kolo. Full of ups and downs, pierogi disasters, and a new furry friend. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
