Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Kornik, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m heading down ul. Główna, and I trip over some random cobblestone. Like, who even put that there? I’m already late for my first gig. Ugh! I’m a Russian Sign Language Translator, and I gotta be on point. But nope, I’m already stumbling. Great start, right? So, I finally get to the community center on ul. Wrzosowa. It’s packed! I mean, like, sardines in a can packed. I’m sweating bullets. I’m supposed to translate for this workshop on deaf culture. Super important stuff, but the crowd is rowdy. They’re all chatting away, and I’m just standing there like, “Hello? I’m here to help!” Then, this one dude, let’s call him Piotr, starts yelling about how he can’t hear the speaker. I’m like, “Bro, I’m not a miracle worker!” But I sign my heart out, trying to keep up with the chaos. At one point, I’m signing so fast, I think I invented a new language. After the workshop, I’m feeling kinda proud, ya know? But then I step outside, and it’s pouring rain. Like, seriously? I just got my hair done! I’m sprinting down ul. Lechitów, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird obstacle course. I’m soaked, and my mood is sinking faster than a stone. But wait! I see this cute little café on ul. Słoneczna. I’m like, “Okay, coffee will fix everything.” I order a cappuccino, and the barista is super nice. We start chatting, and I’m feeling better. She tells me about this local art exhibit happening later. I’m intrigued! So, I grab my coffee and head to the exhibit. It’s in this old building on ul. Kwiatowa. The art is wild! I mean, some pieces are just… wow. There’s this one painting that looks like a giant explosion of colors. I’m standing there, totally mesmerized, when I hear someone behind me. It’s Piotr again! He’s like, “Didn’t expect to see you here!” I’m thinking, “Dude, I’m just trying to enjoy art, chill!” We end up chatting about the pieces, and I’m surprised at how cool he is outside the workshop. We laugh, and I’m like, “Maybe today isn’t so bad after all.” But then, out of nowhere, the fire alarm goes off! I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” Everyone’s rushing out, and I’m trying to keep calm. I’m signing to some folks, “It’s probably a drill!” But deep down, I’m panicking. Once we’re outside, I see the fire truck zooming down ul. Wrzosowa. Turns out, it was just a false alarm. Phew! But my heart’s racing. I’m thinking, “What a day!” Finally, I head home, exhausted but kinda happy. I mean, Kornik is wild! From tripping over cobblestones to unexpected art exhibits, it’s never boring. I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a rollercoaster.” So yeah, that was my day. Kornik, you crazy! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
