Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a raftsman in Mogilno is no joke. I woke up this mornin’ thinkin’ it’d be just another chill day floatin’ down the Warta. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Mogilno, right? I’m cruisin’ down ul. Główna, and it’s like the whole city’s awake. People everywhere, chattin’, laughin’, and I’m just tryin’ to get my coffee fix at that little café on the corner. You know the one? The one with the weird pastries? Yeah, that place. I order a “kawa z mlekiem” and the barista, bless her heart, spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” So, I grab my drink and head to the river. The Warta’s lookin’ pretty today, not too muddy, not too clear. Just right. I’m thinkin’ it’s gonna be a smooth ride. But then, outta nowhere, this huge gust of wind hits. I’m talkin’ like, “Hold onto your hats, folks!” My raft starts bouncin’ like it’s at a concert. I’m tryin’ to keep it steady, but it’s like wrestlin’ a bear. Then, I see this family on the shore. They’re all laughin’ and pointin’ at me. I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up!” But deep down, I’m kinda smilin’. Kids are the best, right? They don’t care about my struggle. They just see a dude on a raft and think it’s the coolest thing ever. After I finally get my act together, I float past the old mill by ul. Młyńska. Man, that place has seen better days. It’s all rusty and stuff, but it’s got character. I can’t help but think about all the stories it could tell. Like, what if it could talk? “Hey, I’ve seen some wild stuff!” But then, bam! I hit a rock. Not just any rock, but the biggest one in the river. I’m like, “Seriously?!” My raft tips, and I’m half in the water, half on the raft. I’m flailin’ around like a fish outta water. The family from earlier is still watchin’, and now they’re laughin’ even harder. I can’t help but laugh too. It’s ridiculous! Finally, I get back on track. I’m soaked, but whatever. I’m cruisin’ down to the bridge on ul. Mostowa, and it’s beautiful. The sun’s settin’, and the sky’s all orange and pink. I take a moment to breathe it in. This is why I do this job. The peace, the quiet, the beauty of Mogilno. But then, just when I think it’s all chill, I see a bunch of kids throwin’ rocks into the river. I’m like, “Hey! Watch it!” But they just giggle and keep throwin’. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I’m gonna end up swimmin’ again!” As I float under the bridge, I spot my buddy, Janek. He’s sittin’ there with a fishing rod, lookin’ all serious. I shout, “Yo, Janek! Catch anything?” He just shrugs. Classic Janek. Always fishin’, never catchin’. The day’s winding down, and I’m headin’ back to the dock. I’m exhausted but happy. Mogilno’s got this vibe, ya know? It’s quirky, it’s wild, and it’s home. I can’t imagine doin’ anything else. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughs and splashes. Just another day in the life of a raftsman in Mogilno. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
