OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Ornontowice, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a client on ul. Główna. She’s this fab lady, always wants the latest trends. But today? She was late. Like, 30 mins late! I’m standing there, looking like a lost puppy, and I’m like, “Girl, I got places to be!” Finally, she rolls in, all flustered. Turns out, she got stuck in traffic on ul. Słowackiego. Classic. We start the session, and she’s like, “I want something bold!” I’m thinking, “Bold? Honey, you’re already bold!” But whatever, I’m here for it. I whip out some crazy colors, and she’s loving it. I’m feeling like Picasso, but then—BAM! My scissors slip. I’m like, “Nooooo!” Hair everywhere. I’m sweating bullets. After that mini heart attack, we finally finish. She looks fab, and I’m like, “Yasss, slay queen!” But then she drops the bomb. “I need this for a wedding in two hours.” I’m like, “Girl, you’re gonna be late!” But she’s all chill, “It’s fine, I’ll just speed.” I’m thinking, “Speed? In Ornontowice? Good luck with that!” So, she dashes out, and I’m left with hair clippings all over the floor. I clean up, and my next client shows up. This dude, right? He’s got a mullet. A MULLET! I’m like, “Dude, it’s 2023, not 1983!” But hey, who am I to judge? I’m a stylist, not a time traveler. We start chatting, and he’s telling me about his life on ul. Wiosny. Apparently, he’s a musician. I’m like, “Cool, what do you play?” He says, “Air guitar.” I can’t even. I’m trying not to laugh, but I’m dying inside. After that, I decide to take a break. I stroll down ul. Leśna, and it’s beautiful. Trees everywhere, people walking their dogs. I’m feeling zen. But then, I see this guy trying to parallel park. He’s like, 10 attempts in, and I’m just standing there, popcorn in hand, watching the show. Finally, he nails it, and I’m like, “Dude, you deserve a medal!” Then, I hit up my fave café on ul. Kwiatowa. I order a latte, and the barista is super cute. I’m trying to play it cool, but my heart’s racing. He hands me my drink, and I’m like, “Thanks, you’re a lifesaver!” He smiles, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe today isn’t so bad.” But then, I spill my latte all over my shirt. I’m like, “Nooooo!” I rush to the bathroom, trying to clean it up. I’m in there, scrubbing like a madwoman, and I hear someone knock. “Are you okay in there?” I’m like, “Yeah, just having a latte disaster!” Finally, I get out, and I’m feeling a bit better. I head back to the salon, and my last client is waiting. She’s a sweet old lady from ul. Złota. She wants a trim, and I’m like, “Easy peasy.” We chat about the good ol’ days, and I’m loving it. She tells me about her garden, and I’m like, “I need to see this garden!” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I walk home through the park, and the sunset is gorgeous. I think about all the craziness, and I’m like, “This is why I love Ornontowice.” It’s wild, it’s beautiful, and it’s home. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in the life of a stylist in Ornontowice!
