Man, what a day! I swear, being a dispatcher in Orzesze is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” LOL, boy was I wrong! First call comes in at 8 AM. Some dude on ul. Główna is stuck in traffic. Like, seriously? It’s Orzesze, not New York! I mean, how bad can it be? Turns out, a cat decided to take a nap in the middle of the road. A CAT! I’m sitting there, laughing my ass off, while this guy is losing his mind. “Get the cat!” he yells. I’m like, “Bro, it’s a cat, not a hostage!” Then, I get another call. This time, it’s from ul. Słowiańska. A lady’s car won’t start. Classic! I send someone over, and guess what? She left her keys in the fridge. I can’t even! Who does that? I mean, I’ve heard of brain farts, but this was a full-on brain explosion. By noon, I’m feeling pretty good. I grab a quick bite at that little place on ul. Wrzosowa. Best pierogi in town, no cap! I’m chowing down, thinking life’s good, when my phone blows up. “Dispatcher! We got a situation!” Oh great, what now? Turns out, there’s a parade on ul. 1 Maja. A PARADE! And nobody told me. I’m scrambling, trying to reroute everything. I’m like a chicken with its head cut off. “Go left! No, right! Wait, no, back!” And then, just when I think it can’t get crazier, I get a call from a guy on ul. Lechitów. He’s locked himself in his bathroom. I’m dying. “How did you even manage that?” I ask. He’s like, “I was trying to fix the sink!” I can’t even. I send someone to rescue him, and I’m just sitting there, shaking my head. Finally, it’s 5 PM. I’m ready to clock out. But nooo, one last call comes in. A kid’s lost his dog near the park by ul. Złota. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” But then I hear the kid’s voice. He’s crying, and my heart just sinks. I can’t ignore that. So, I rally the troops. We’re out there, searching high and low. I’m calling in favors, “Hey, you seen a little dog? Brown, fluffy?” People are coming out of their houses, helping. It’s wild! And then, boom! We find the pup! The kid’s face lights up like it’s Christmas. I’m tearing up a bit, not gonna lie. After all that chaos, I finally head home. I’m exhausted but happy. Orzesze, man, it’s a wild place. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of madness. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a dispatcher, right?
