Man, what a day! Seriously, Praszka, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a typhlopedagogue, which is a fancy way of saying I teach visually impaired kids. So, I’m all about that patience and understanding. But today? Ugh. I’m walking down ul. Kościuszki, and I trip over a pothole. Like, come on, Praszka! Fix your streets! I’m not trying to break my ankle before I even start my day. Anyway, I finally get to the school, and the kids are buzzing. They’re like little tornadoes of energy. I love them, but wow, they can be a handful. We’re working on some cool stuff with tactile books. You know, the ones you can feel? But then, outta nowhere, one kid, let’s call him Kuba, decides to throw a book across the room. I’m like, “Kuba, dude, chill!” But he just laughs. Kids, man. After class, I decide to grab a coffee at this cute little café on ul. 1 Maja. It’s called “Kawa i Czekolada.” Sounds fancy, right? I order my usual – a cappuccino with extra foam. But the barista? She’s like, “We’re out of foam.” I’m like, “What do you mean out of foam?!” I mean, c’mon, it’s a cappuccino! So, I settle for a black coffee. Not the same vibe, but whatever. Then, I head over to the park by ul. Słowackiego. It’s a nice spot, but today it’s packed. Families everywhere, kids running wild. I’m just trying to find a quiet bench to chill. But nooo, there’s this group of teenagers blasting music. Like, I get it, you’re young and cool, but I’m trying to enjoy nature here! So, I sit down, and I’m just about to take a sip of my coffee when I see this old lady struggling with her shopping bags. I rush over, because that’s what you do, right? I help her out, and she’s super grateful. She starts telling me about her life in Praszka, how she remembers when the town was just a small village. I’m like, “Wow, that’s kinda cool.” But then she goes on about how the new buildings are ruining the charm. I mean, I get it, but progress, right? After that, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, I check my phone. I’ve got a million messages from my boss. Apparently, there’s a meeting I totally forgot about. Ugh! So, I sprint back to the school, dodging kids and dogs and whatever else is in my way. I get there, and of course, I’m late. My boss is giving me the look. You know the one. I’m like, “Sorry, traffic was wild!” But really, it was just me being a hot mess. The meeting is about new teaching methods, and I’m trying to keep up, but my brain is still in the park, sipping that black coffee. Finally, the day wraps up, and I’m exhausted. I head home, and I’m thinking about how Praszka is this mix of chaos and charm. I mean, yeah, the streets are a mess, and the coffee situation is tragic, but the people? They make it worth it. So, I plop down on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day.” I can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow. Praszka, you’re a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade you for anything.
