Man, what a day! I swear, being a car instructor in Puck is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit the road to meet my first student. We’re talking about the main street, ul. Wojska Polskiego. It’s usually a breeze, but today? Nah. Traffic was a nightmare. I’m stuck behind this old lady in a beat-up Fiat. Bless her heart, but c’mon! I could’ve walked faster. I’m honking, waving my hands like a madman. She just smiles and waves back. Like, lady, I’m not waving at you! Finally, I get to the meeting spot. My student, let’s call him “Jakub,” shows up late. Of course. He rolls in, looking like he just woke up from a nap. I’m like, “Dude, you ready to drive or what?” He shrugs, and I can already feel my patience wearing thin. We hop in the car, and I’m trying to keep it cool. But Jakub? He’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We’re cruising down ul. 1 Maja, and he’s staring at the seagulls instead of the road. I’m yelling, “Focus, man! Those birds aren’t gonna drive for you!” Then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike swerves in front of us. I slam the brakes. Jakub’s eyes are like saucers. “What the heck was that?” he yells. I’m like, “Welcome to Puck, buddy! It’s a circus out here!” After that little heart attack, we head towards the beach. The view is stunning, right? But I’m too stressed to enjoy it. I’m trying to teach him about parallel parking, and he’s just not getting it. I mean, how hard can it be? It’s like trying to fit a whale in a bathtub! Finally, we pull over by ul. Morska. I’m about to lose it. “Jakub, you gotta get this! It’s not rocket science!” He looks at me, all confused. “But I thought we were just chillin’?” I can’t even. After what feels like an eternity, we finally get it right. I’m so relieved, I could cry. We high-five, and I’m like, “See? You’re a natural!” But then, he says, “Can we go get ice cream now?” I mean, who can say no to ice cream, right? So, we hit up this little spot on ul. Gdańska. Best ice cream in Puck, hands down. I’m sitting there, enjoying my scoop, and I see this group of tourists taking selfies by the pier. They’re all like, “Look at the beautiful Baltic Sea!” I’m thinking, “Yeah, but have you tried the ice cream?” After our sweet treat, I get a call from my boss. “We need you to cover another class.” I’m like, “Seriously? I just survived a war zone!” But I can’t say no. So, I head over to ul. Słowiańska for the next student. This time, it’s a girl named “Ania.” She’s super chill, way better than Jakub. We’re driving, and she’s actually listening! I’m feeling good, like maybe I’m not a total failure at this job. We cruise past the marina, and I’m telling her about the history of Puck. “Did you know this place was a big deal in the Middle Ages?” She’s nodding, and I’m like, “Yes! Finally, someone who cares!” But then, outta nowhere, her phone buzzes. She picks it up, and I’m like, “No! Focus on the road!” She’s all, “Just a sec!” I’m losing it again. “You can’t text and drive, Ania!” After a few more close calls, we finally wrap up. I’m exhausted but happy. I drop her off, and I’m thinking, “Maybe today wasn’t so bad after all.” As I’m driving home, I can’t help but laugh. Puck is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its charm, and a whole lotta craziness. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a car instructor, right?
