Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Rejon-placu-Swietego-Macieja, right? The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up ul. Świętego Macieja for some coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m talking about that little café on the corner. The barista, bless her heart, was having a rough morning. She spilled milk everywhere! I mean, come on! It’s like, how hard can it be? But hey, I felt for her. I’ve had my share of messy mornings too. So, I grab my coffee, and I’m feeling all hyped. I stroll down ul. Wrocławska, thinking about my students. They’re all over the place, trying to figure out their lives. I mean, who isn’t? But these kids, man, they’re like lost puppies sometimes. I just wanna shake ‘em and say, “Get it together!” But I can’t, right? Gotta be the supportive mentor. Ugh. Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my old buddy, Tomek. We used to run wild around here, causing chaos. We start reminiscing about the good ol’ days, you know? Like that time we snuck into the old church on ul. Księdza Mściwoja. Classic! But then he drops the bomb: he’s moving to Warsaw. WHAT?! I was like, “Dude, you can’t leave me here!” But he’s all about that big city life now. I get it, but still, it stings. After that, I’m walking past the park by ul. Słowiańska, and I see this group of kids playing soccer. They’re yelling, laughing, just living their best lives. I felt this wave of happiness wash over me. Like, this is what it’s all about, right? But then, one of them kicks the ball too hard, and it smacks into a lady’s shopping bag. She freaks out! I mean, come on, it’s just a ball! But she’s yelling, and I’m standing there, trying not to laugh. Next, I head to the community center. Gotta meet some students for a workshop. I’m pumped! But when I get there, it’s chaos. They’re all arguing about what to do. I’m like, “Guys, chill! We’re here to figure stuff out, not fight!” But they’re all fired up. I try to mediate, but it’s like herding cats. I swear, I need a degree in conflict resolution just for this job. Finally, we settle down, and I start talking about self-determination. I’m all passionate, waving my hands around, and then—BAM! The fire alarm goes off! Seriously? In the middle of my speech? Everyone bolts outta there like it’s a scene from a movie. I’m just standing there, like, “What just happened?” Outside, it’s a mess. Fire trucks, people everywhere. I’m trying to keep my students calm, but they’re all buzzing with excitement. I mean, I get it. It’s not every day you get evacuated. But I’m also like, “Can we not? I have a schedule!” After the drama, we finally get back inside. I’m exhausted, but we dive back into it. I’m telling them about setting goals, and one kid raises his hand and says, “But what if I wanna be a YouTuber?” I just laughed. Like, who am I to crush dreams? So, I’m like, “Go for it, man! Just have a backup plan!” By the end of the day, I’m wiped out. I walk back through ul. Świętego Macieja, and I can’t help but smile. Rejon-placu-Swietego-Macieja is wild, but it’s home. Full of surprises, chaos, and a bit of magic. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Emotional rollercoaster, for sure. But hey, that’s life, right?
